I have nothing but good things to say about the experience, and our guides Joel and Alejandro were the main reason for that. From the pick up to drop off, Joel and Alejandro were informative, and made sure our group was doing ok. When we got to the top, you have a choice of getting coffee or hot chocolate. we were provided with both thanks to them. They also offered to take pictures of us solo travellers with the sunrise view at the back. They also guided us through the harvest areas as you hike down the mountain so that was good to see! And to top it all off they take you to the most amazing restaurant in San Juan for an authentic Guatemalan food experience… hands down one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Guatemala!

The 45 minute hike itself was slightly difficult for a beginner hiker not used to any elevation, but with a few breaks in between, it was possible to reach the top. The views were breathtaking and made the trek up worthwhile. The guide and driver were friendly and patient. We spent about an hour watching the sunrise and enjoyed every second especially with the added eruption effects of Volcán Fuego. Such a memorable experience that definitely should be a part of your trip to San Juan la Laguna!

The hike was pretty easy and had good views with a lot of history from the guide, Henry. We did see other your companies whilst we were at the top who had a higher view and it felt like we weren’t actually at the top of the view point. The views were still good but it would depend on what you prefer. There was no private shuttle for this tour. We had to get on the back of a motorbike as well as a chicken bus to reach the start of the walk which we weren’t expecting. Our guide also took pictures of us whilst on the hike. We thought we would get these on the same day, or at least the same week. We didn’t. These took 9+ days to receive after several several WhatsApp and Instagram messages, so take photos on your way own devices if you don’t want to wait. The tour says ‘Breakfast included’ however we got dropped off on a random road in San Juan and got given vague directions to the breakfast location to find on our own, which we couldn’t, even after putting this into google maps. Overall, the walk was easy and good views with a nice coffee and bread at the view point, however a few little inconveniences which distrusted our time.

I am not sure how the hike was- We didnt make it! The way the pickup was written, showed that we would have a pickup at our hotel (copied from their meeting and pickup description): The Point, MPVG+VH7, San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala San Pedro la Laguna 1. Casa Lobo - 3:45am 2. Café Tzutujil - 3:55am 3. Sababa Resort - 4:00am San Juan la Laguna 1. Eco hotel Uxlabil - 4:05am We assumed that the times listed are the times we would get picked up. First pickup at 345, 355 for next and so on... After looking up reviews (may want to check other sites) this is not a good place to go. AND if a company responds with anything other than, how can they improve, that may show the true way a company is. And I may be wrong for reading it incorrectly

We really enjoyed our guided hike with Salvador! He was super knowledgeable and made sure we were aware of all the travel details for the experience. He also gave us wisdom around the land and the mountain. I highly recommend this experience to see stunning views and be amongst community. Whether you are traveling solo or together, this is perfect for everyone.

I wasn't sure I'd be able to go on this hike, since I was staying all the way out in Panajachel. But, Salvador was super accommodating and helped book a boat so I could make it. He was super responsive during the planning and a delight to chat with during the tour. The walk itself is short but steep, and the view is gorgeous.

Salavador was a great tour guide. His driving felt safe which in those roads is a huge bonus. He was quiet walking through the bush and we got to see some nice birds. He told about the different vegetation and crops. A lovely friendly person.

Fantastic view from the top, took loads of photos. The walk isn't too hard, lots of steps though. Made it up in plenty of time for the sunrise. The mug of chocolate was welcome at the top!
