Asahiyama Zoo
Begin your day tour by meeting your driver in Sapporo. Head to Asahiyama Zoo and spend about 2 hours exploring and eating lunch. Renowned Asahiyama Zoo, Japan's northernmost zoo and a must-visit in winter. Unlike many other zoos, here the animals don't hide away during the cold season See adorable penguins take a walk in the snow (from December to March), clumsy raccoons crawl on top of their heads to make faces, curious seals play up and down in the glass column, and monkeys snuggle with each other to keep warm. Notice: If the Asahiyama Zoo Closed, the tour guide will adjust the attractions based on on-site conditions.Please check the official website to confirm the days when the zoo is closed.
Ken & Mary Tree
Ken & Mary Tree (Drive-by sightseeing only) (Note: This is a seasonal attraction from Dec. to Mar.) Named after appearing in Nissan’s 1972 commercial “Love’s Horizon,” this tall poplar tree became a symbol of Biei’s romantic landscape. The ad’s couple, Ken and Mary, made this spot famous across Japan. Nearby stands a cute yellow triangular house surrounded by Christmas trees—an enchanting sight straight out of a fairy tale.

5.00Both the tour guide and bus driver were very friendly. The tour was a great way to see many popular locations in a single day. The stops are seasonal though, so look carefully at the itinerary to see which locations you’ll visit during the month of your trip.

1.00We booked this tour and paid a lot of money for it. However, the tour was canceled the previous night, which ruined the plans for the vacation. This was not the first attempt to travel with Gogoday. The other tour we tried to book, the tour guide was a no-show, but we were still charged anyway and had to appeal with the parent company for a refund. After writing the first review, I was accused of being a competitor posting malicious information. This is false... I am a customer who was trying to have a great experience in Hokkaido, but thanks to Gogoday, this wasn't possible.

1.00I do not recommend this tour group. The guide was not very fluent in English and the bus driver drove too fast. The minivan is very bad on the bumpy roads. Worst tour ever.

1.00I booked one itinerary and after 30 minutes into the trip we were given the itinerary for the day and it was not the same itinerary we booked. I asked the tour guide and apparently there are three companies involved in the booking process. Not one of the three companies wants to take accountability for the mix up and no apology was offered. I don’t recommend this company. Nothing was done to make it right. And even if this company only books busses and tour guides, as I was told, they could have gone over the itinerary BEFORE leaving the bus station, so that we had the option of getting off the bus and not wasting our day.
