My 13 year old daughter and I had an absolute blast. After having my son last year, my oldest daughter and I needed some real bonding time and this place was perfect! I haven't laughed so hard in forever!

We loved the interactive art. The ball pit was a favorite for the 10 yr old boy. It’s like a mini meow wolf.

Ho--ly--cow. If I could rate this 6 stars, I would. Perhaps I've just been too accustomed to traditional art galleries (or maybe because my wife was over the moon, and I like seeing her happy), but this was the best art gallery experience I think I've ever had. I won't spoil much, but if you enjoy more immersive sensory experiences with your art, you'll love this.

It was full of preschool age kids when we went. We couldn’t enjoy any of it because small children were running amok in everything. I was super disappointed and felt like a waste of money. I wish they had “kid” hours only because little are cool too but not when I paid a lot of money to have them literally bouncing off the walls

There was a lot of variety and the interactive nature of the exhibits kept us returning to rooms to experience them again.

I had a great time going through the exhibit. The exhibit with the hanging lights was my favorite, as well as the ball pit.

We arrived and the staff were super nice, grabbed a few drinks and experienced the amazing art pieces

The experience is great and fun. It's not 1 hour 30minute event. Unless you do not stop and take photos it will be 2.5-3 hours inside. Amazing experience except the expedia tickets are the only booking that do not give you a qr code and give you a barcode. This requires you to go inside, have them convert it, and then out you at back of entry line. Get the tickets anywhere else and you dont have this incovience.

I booked tickets for Hopscotch Portland over a month in advance, carefully reviewing what appeared to be a clear cancellation policy on the booking platform stating full refunds if canceled up to 24 hours in advance. When my daughter fell seriously ill and we could no longer travel (we don’t live in Portland and won’t be returning anytime soon), I reached out immediately—January 31st—via call, email, and text, providing notice well within that window and even attaching a screenshot of the policy for clarity. What followed was an infuriating 8-day ordeal of radio silence, repeated “I’ll check with my team” promises from support (Heather), and zero resolution. Instead of addressing my request, I received multiple automated reminder texts about showing up, completing waivers, and wearing socks for the ball pit—as if my repeated explanations that we couldn’t attend due to illness simply didn’t register. Escalations went nowhere; they kept insisting tickets are “non-refundable” and only transferable to new dates/times, despite the policy I referenced and their own reps acknowledging they’d “check” it. The official site now claims tickets are strictly non-refundable with only transfers allowed, but third-party booking pages (like Viator, Tripadvisor, and Marriott) explicitly advertise full refunds up to 24 hours in advance—exactly what I saw and relied on when purchasing. This discrepancy feels deceptive, and their support team’s inability (or unwillingness) to clarify or honor it, even after a week of patient follow-ups, is unacceptable. Customer service was abysmal: evasive, repetitive, and utterly unresponsive to urgency or basic human circumstances like a child’s illness. No one took ownership, no exception was made despite promises to “escalate,” and no refund materialized. If you’re booking from out of town or have any risk of needing flexibility, steer clear—save your money and your sanity for a business that actually stands behind its advertised policies and treats customers with respect instead of ignoring them. Hopscotch Portland: the installations might be fun, but the experience starts (and ends) with terrible management and zero accountability. One star only because zero isn’t an option.

This is my second time at Hopscotch and my partners first, I loved it we both had a great time! I recommend going in the evening on a weekday as it was almost empty. The first time I went was full of children and it’s a very different experience. Would love to go back.
