17:30. Our tour guide will meet you in front of SONG HUONG FLOATING RESTAURANT, we start Hue Walking Food Tour to visit the colorful Dong Ba market, the best whole sale market in Hue city. Here, you will learn how local people choose fresh ingredients to cook their daily traditional homemade food with our foodie guide.

Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)

Then continue through Hue Citadel Area and make some stops in local restaurants to try some best local dishes and our local guide can share with you the history and culture of Vietnamese Royalty with life of the Kings; their queens, minor wive, concubines and eunuchs. Please note that, we only driving in living area of local people in the Citadel but not visiting inside Imperial City - Former living area of royal family.

You get a lot of different kinds of food that is really local. The guide is very nice, friendly and tells many interesting things. Definitely recommended, go on an empty stomach, because you eat quite a lot.

On a rainy night in Hue, we enjoyed a food tour by scooter with Nhien and her co-driver. This was a great way to spend our first evening in Hue, despite the rainy weather. She introduced us to multiple Hue speciality dishes and most importantly showed us how to eat them! En route, Nhien gave me lots of interesting facts about the city. We both felt entirely safe on the backs of the scooters the whole time. We would recommend this tour.

Our night food tour with Wide Eyed Tours was a fabulous way of learning more about the origin of some of the region’s authentic dishes. Our guide, Thanh, was a wealth of knowledgeable and his Dad jokes only added to the joy of the experience. Travelling by motorbike our drivers took us through vibrant back streets and markets introducing us to local produce. Tanh shared stories about how local food customs began and are still honoured today, how the food is sourced, grown and prepared. While we were nervous about the motorbike at first, we immediately relaxed. The fresh air and sense of being emerged right in the moment was such a thrill. Do not have lunch beforehand!! You absolutely won’t need it!! There was a huge variety of food from restaurants that were off the beaten track. With fresh ingredients prepared simply it was completely delicious. We had to get dropped off 20 minutes from our hotel so we could walk off the indulgence. Highly recommend.

Our guide Nhienle was a spontaneous fun guide. Humorous and knew a lot about Vietnam. We have eaten in places we would never have eaten otherwise. But glad we did this. Dessert took some getting used to. And it was very nice to go from place to place via a Rickshaw

Nhien was excellent. We were taken around the city of Hue by cyclo and enjoyed many specialities of the area. Our highlights were the mussel porridge, pork skewers and rice pancake. Nhien’s knowledge and company was great. It was a perfect first introduction to the city of Hue. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful tour with Nhien! She spoke excellent English and took us around on foot for 3 hours on both sides of the Perfume River. She was super accommodating and knowledgeable. The street food was very good and it made us try things we never would have tried without this tour. I highly recommend it!

This was an extra fun tour by scooter. We had never riden motorbike before and Nhi made it very easy! She included many local specialties until we could not eat another bite. I highly recommend giving this tour a try!
