Thien Mu Pagoda
Our tour guide will pick you up in your hotel (city cented) to the bikes, and start cycling about 5km along perfume river to get to Thien Mu Pagoda located on the north shore of the Perfume River. Thien Mu Pagoda is regarded as the unofficial symbol of the former imperial capital. Today it is the home of the Austin Motor Vehicle which drove Thich Quang Duc to his self-immolation in Saigon in 1963 in protest against the Diem regime. It is still home to many monks and a holy site visited by many everyday.

We take dragon boat cruise in Perfume River (Hương River), that originates from the Truong Son Dong mountain range. The main stream is Ta Trach with a length of 67km, originating from the Truong Son Dong range, along the Bach Ma area to the northwest, through Nam Dong town. Then it merges with Huu Trach stream with a length of 60km in the North through Bang Lang junction. At the place where these two streams meet to form the Perfume River.

Cycling along perfume river to tombs and then ride on a dragon boat to more tombs and cycle back. I am not a confident cyclist and was unsure at first but really enjoyed it. Some hills to peddle up in the way back

We had a brilliant trip with Hung. Such a well organised trip. We felt so safe with Hung at the front, and his colleague, Khue, at the back. Great information from Hung - we learnt such a lot about Vietnamese culture and history. Thanks for such a great trip.

A great trip. Danny was an excellent guide, informative and friendly. Bikes were simple but more than adequate for the easy cycling on roads and paths. Fairly short amount of road cycling and traffic nothing like in Hanoi. Boat trip was relaxing, they will try to sell souvenirs etc on board but a simple no thank you is enough. Danny was flexible and realised it was easier to cycle back to our out of town hotel at the end rather than taking boat back to town and then taxi to our hotel.
