Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)

The Imperial City is the most important historical and cultural sight, occupies a prominent place in the middle of the city. It look like a walled fortress and palace belonged to the ancient city of Hue which was a capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty (13 kings) for 140 years dating back from 1805 until 1945. Visiting the complex of The Imperial City, you will admire many of magnificent palaces and temples . With magnificent beauty and excellent palace architecture, you will surely enjoy the journey to visit.

    The guide was extremely knowledgeable and a great story teller. The tour was comprehensive and fascinating, and the included meal was a great way to introduce traditional food. We even made cakes at the end of the meal. Hue is such an interesting city , its history is important to the development of Vietnam. Thank you for a great day!

    It was a great tour despite the torrential rain. Our guide was a trooper and got us to see all the sites on schedule despite the constant rain which just added to the atmosphere. It was educational and worthwhile trip. Highly recommended.

    Our guide picked us up promptly at 8am we first went to the pagoda, boat trip then into the citadel. We had a yummy lunch with a foot soak and making some red bean deserts then we went to see hat and incense making then to two tombs. The day was packed but happy to have seen a great overview of hue. Our guide, fi, was fantastic too.

    Perfect for those who spend little time in Hue, the tour takes in the main points of interest with enough time to visit them all (including a boat ride on the river) and great explanations from Nih, always smiling despite the heat. The air-conditioned van allowed you to catch your breath during the journeys (even if short). Very recommended
