What To Expect
Kilkenny Haunted Dark Tour – 7:00 PM Departure Step into Kilkenny’s shadowy past on a guided walking tour through the city’s most haunted and historic sites. We meet beneath the wooden entrance of Kilkenny Castle, where your storyteller guide will lead you through centuries of chilling history, stopping at: Kilkenny Castle – dark tales from the heart of the city’s power. Shee Alms House – once a refuge, now home to eerie legends. Medieval Mile Museum (St Mary’s Church) – hear about Cromwell’s brutal siege and the souls who never left. St Mary’s Lane – the forgotten passage of plague and superstition. Kyteler’s Inn – learn about Dame Alice Kyteler and Ireland’s infamous witch trials. Grace’s Castle – from courthouse to prison, steeped in stories of crime and punishment. Bishop Ledrede’s Curse – the feud that left a bishop restless in his grave. James’ Gate – tales of highwaymen and their final fate. Join us for a journey through the darker chapters of Kilkenny’s history. Expect folklore, mystery and spine-tingling storytelling that bring Ireland’s medieval ghosts back to life.

5.00Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and made our short time in Kilkenny feel much more full for all we got to learn about it. It’s not an overdramatic ghost tour like they have in the US, so don’t expect that. This is for folks who want to learn a lot about Kilkenny - including some dark bits!

5.00Our guide was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable, charismatic, funny and smart. The tour is more of a "history of Kilkenny" tour with a few elements of darkness and hauntings. I definitely recommend the tour for anyone who wants to know the dark side of the city!
