The end of March to the end of June is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.
Dress code: All visitors are not allowed to wear as shorts as you want for this experience. Please make sure that your knees and shoulders are covered.
For small group tour is limited to 14 participants to ensure a more personal experience from our guide.

For lunch, there is a vegetarian option like fried rice vegetable with eggs and fried spring rolls, but no vegan option.

5.00This full-day tour was absolutely packed with highlights — from sacred mountaintops to jungle-wrapped temples and floating villages — and every moment was worth it. A huge shout-out to our guide, Mr Raman, who was excellent throughout: warm, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead in making sure we were comfortable and informed. We started with Kulen Mountain, which was stunning — dramatic viewpoints, the fascinating River of a Thousand Lingas, and the enormous reclining Buddha at Preah Ang Thom. Mr Raman gave fantastic context and knew how to pace things so we never felt rushed, even with a full itinerary. Phnom Kulen Waterfall was a real treat — crystal-clear water, great swimming, and a peaceful break in nature. Then we moved on to Beng Mealea, which might have been my favourite spot of the day. It's like a forgotten temple from a lost world — overgrown, atmospheric, and beautifully raw. We finished at Kompong Phluk, the floating village on Tonle Sap. That final glimpse of life on the water, with stilt houses and the monastery on the artificial island, was the perfect close to a day that felt deeply immersive and authentic. Logistics were flawless — picked up on time, great transport, everything smooth. But it was Mr Raman’s insight, humour, and care that made the experience so memorable. Couldn’t recommend this tour (or him) more highly.

5.00This amazing whole day tour was an amazing experience. Thanks to our great guide Mr So we got so much in depth information which made the day a rich filled day. The beautiful reclining Buddha statue and surroundings, the impressive Kulen mountain, fantastic lunch at the waterfalls, the mystic jungle temple Boeng Meala, the interesting floating village filled with vitality. It was all great. But especially our great guide Mr So made this a perfect day! We had interesting conversations underway with him about his experiences as a monk, so thank you again for a memorable day!!!

5.00A very well planned and executed trip , from the pick up nothing was a problem , Mr Sam had a wealth of knowledge and explained every thing well . A nice lunch was supplied plenty of cold water and cold towels to refresh . I would definitely rate this highly
