7:30 AM - 8:00 AM - Early departure gets us to Banteay Srei practically alone. But first, we meet contemporary Cambodia. 8:30 AM - Local artisans demonstrate traditional palm cake making using techniques passed down through generations. You'll smell caramelizing sap before seeing the process—sweet, smoky aromas as they stir massive woks over wood fires. Timing determines everything: too early lacks sweetness, too late crystallizes wrong. This supports local livelihoods directly. You'll taste the results: chewy, coconut-infused cakes in banana leaves, perfect with morning coffee.

Great tour! Good combination of nature and history. The tour guide Mr. Jan and driver Mr. Liab were great. Can definitely recommend taking this tour.

It's a good tour albeit seemingly a bit longer. A little expensive (considering the ticket for boat trip is not included), but there's no other tour offering this combination of tourist stops. The lunch that comes on the house is at an excellent local Khmer restaurant. Guide Mr. Sinan is young and enthusiastic, but doesn't bore you with any unnecessary long drawn tales. Driver Mr. Tha was quiet and efficient and was always waiting with cold towels and water whenever we returned from a monument. Overall a good trip if you can overlook the slightly expensive part.
