Villa Geno, located in Como, on the eastern shore of Lake Como, is a historic residence renowned for its privileged location and its architectural beauty. Originally built in 1790, the villa was designed in neoclassical style and over the years has undergone several modifications and restorations that have maintained its original charm. One of the hallmarks of Villa Geno is its park that stretches along the lakeshore, offering breathtaking views of the water and surrounding mountains. In the garden there is one of the most famous fountains of Lake Como, with a water jet that reaches 30 meters high, creating a spectacular water feature that attracts many visitors. Villa Geno has been used over time for various functions, including private residence, venue for events and ceremonies, and today is an exclusive venue for weddings and celebrations. Its location within walking distance of the center of Como makes it easily accessible.
Villa Cagni Troubetzkoy, located on the shores of Lake Como in Cernobbio, has a fascinating history dating back to the nineteenth century. The villa is named after the Troubetzkoy family, of Russian origin, who owned it and helped shape its charm. The residence is an example of neoclassical architecture, typical of the historic houses of Lake Como, with an elegant facade overlooking the lake waters. The Troubetzkoy family was closely linked to the European aristocracy. The Troubetzkoys were known for their cultural influence and ties to the world of art and literature. The villa itself was a meeting place for intellectuals, artists and nobles of the time. Some members of the family, such as Prince Pierre Troubetzkoy, were well-known figures in the artistic and literary world, strengthening the villa's link with culture and art. The villa is surrounded by lush parkland, with manicured gardens creating an idyllic setting.

Due to issues with one of the boats we were 45 minutes behind schedule and had to cxl due to time constraints. Operator should have notified us as to an eta. We wasted 45 minutes waiting and never got on the boat tour.

My husband and I really enjoyed this experience. So fun to see the beautiful villas from the water and Alessandro was a very fun guide. We enjoyed the smaller group setting - and the shorter duration of the tour - just over an hour - was perfect for us. Thank you for a fun morning!

Nice ride. Our guide was pleasant and the prosecco was a nice addition for the tour. Some info from the guide but could have had more history beyond the cost of the homes/event prices at the venues.
