What To Expect

Cusco

Day 1: Cusco – Train Journey – Aguas Calientes Morning / Afternoon Hotel pick-up in Cusco at the scheduled time, followed by a transfer to the train station (Poroy or Ollantaytambo, depending on availability and season). Enjoy a scenic train journey through the Sacred Valley along the Urubamba River to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). Afternoon Upon arrival, our local staff will assist you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. Free time to explore the town at your own pace. Optional activities: Visit the local artisan market Relax at the hot springs (optional, entrance not included) Enjoy meals at local restaurants In the evening, your guide will contact you or meet you at the hotel to provide a briefing for the Machu Picchu visit the following day. Overnight: 3★ hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo)

Day 2: Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Return to Cusco In the Morning After breakfast at your hotel, take the shuttle bus up to Machu Picchu, enjoying scenic mountain views along the way. Guided Visit to Machu Picchu Explore the iconic Inca citadel on a 2–3 hour guided tour, depending on the assigned circuit. Your professional guide will explain the history of Machu Picchu, Inca architecture and engineering, and the cultural and spiritual significance of the site. There will be time for photos at the main viewpoints, following official circuit regulations. Free Time (Optional) Depending on your ticket type, you may have free time after the guided tour to enjoy additional views or return to Machu Picchu Pueblo for lunch. Afternoon / Return to Cusco At the scheduled time, board the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. Upon arrival, our transportation will transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco, where the tour concludes.

I loved this experience very much. My tour guide was isao and alfe, they were very nice and patient. One day isao had to step out, so alfe was our guide,when we were going to rainbow mountain, one of the hardest hike I did, he was able to lift up my nine year old cousins up the Mountain. Alfe was very patient and kind with us. Isao was also very good, it was 11 people he had to take care of. He was able to settle on what some people wanted and what other people wanted. He was very patient,kind, and informative. I’m 12 years old and I loves this trip!

We had an amazing experience on our tour, thanks to our fantastic guide, Isao. Traveling with a large family, we had many needs, but Isao was incredibly flexible and accommodating. He was always patient and punctual, and everyone truly enjoyed his company. We highly recommend this tour!

Isao was an absolutely amazing tour guide! He answered all our questions not only about Machu Picchu but also about many other topics, including economics, politics, and general life in Peru. He kept our interest the entire time. I am impressed by his knowledge and would recommend him to everyone.

Absolutely excellent. The best experience I have ever had. Perú Hikers organised everything from the trains to the Machu Picchu circuit tickets. We did circuit 3 and 1 in a day and it was amazing.
