Arrive at iFLY Manchester and safely float in an 800-horsepower vertical wind tunnel that generates a wall-to-wall cushion of air commonly used by professional skydivers without having to jump from a plane. Just about anyone can fly and no experience is necessary.
Once inside the flight chamber, a tunnel operator slowly increases the wind speed until you and your instructor are airborne. Feel the adrenaline rush as you float at wind speeds reaching 130 to 175 mph (209 to 282 kph). The stable wall-to-wall airflow keeps you from falling off the column of air and your instructor is on hand at all times to guide you.
The entire indoor skydiving experience takes about 90 minutes from start to finish. Each session includes up to 13 people, but you fly one-on-one with your instructor twice - the same freefall time as three tandem skydives!
To ensure our team are able to fly you, it's vital you arrive at the venue no less than 45minutes before your booked flight time.

What To Expect
Feel the thrill of skydiving without jumping out of an airplane. It's true! Head to iFLY Manchester, a premier indoor skydiving facility powered by a state-of-the-art vertical wind tunnel, where you'll experience free-fall conditions with the help of an instructor. You may fly if you: - Weigh less than 18 stone and 7 pounds / 117kg (contact iFLY directly if you weigh more than this) - Are not pregnant - Have not previously dislocated your shoulder - Are not under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs - Are not wearing a hard cast. It is vital that you arrive for check-in at least 45mins prior to your booked flight time. So, if you're booked flight time is 3pm, you should arrive no later than 2.15pm. This is so that we can get you geared up, ready for your flight time. iFLY operates a manifest in the same way you would expect an airline to work; it is therefore advised you arrive early, leaving plenty of time for any unexpected delays. 5.00We had the most amazing time! When we arrived our daughter was absolutely terrified. Morgan our instructor was fantastic with her and managed to settle her and got our daughter to fly not once but twice! What an amazing experience we all had and honestly can’t thank Morgan and the rest of the team for making it so good! All of us throughly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to come again.

1.00I visited iFLY Saturday 20th September 2025 with high expectations. I was hoping for great things and I even paid extra for the VR experience to make it extra special. Sadly overall I was left pretty underwhelmed, especially for the price and effort involved. What worked well: • The staff / instructors were friendly and seemed professional. • The safety briefing and general setup felt solid. • The basic flight (without VR) was more enjoyable. What didn’t work: • The experience felt very short for what I paid. I had hoped for more flight time, it felt over too quickly. • The VR add-on was a massive let-down. It was very blurry which made the whole VR portion unusable. It ruined what could’ve been a highlight. • I did mention the VR problem to the instructor but nothing was offered in terms of a refund, compensation or even a chance to re-do that flight (with working VR). • Travelling a long way for this, I felt the total experience did not match up to cost + effort. Suggestions for improvement: • Ensure VR gear is tested and fully functioning before customers fly. • If there’s a technical issue like VR being blurry offer the option to reschedule or retake that part of the flight (or refund the extra cost). • Perhaps offer slightly longer flight times, or clearer promised flight time vs what actually happens. Customer expectations are high, so transparency matters. Overall: If you’re going for the novelty of flight it does deliver something memorable. But unless the extras work, the time feels short and the value drops steeply. I wanted to love this experience more than I did, and I’m disappointed it didn’t quite get there.

4.00I took my 10yr old daughter with her birthday with her friends . A couple of friends had been there before. The experience is very good. We went from far, going the night before ,staying at a hotel,etc.... yet, it is very little time to fly. The friends who had been there before said , last time the instructor was very good. You can pay extra and go high. that is only twice you go up and down. My personal opening is even if you charge a bit extra the experience time should be increased a bit.
Best time the whole family loved it!

5.00I went to IFLY with my boyfriend, brother and baby sister. We had such an amazing time! our instructor Richard was fantastic! We were looked after so well and thoroughly entertained. My baby sister was so scared to do it but after quick chat with Richard she didn't only love it but asked to go up to the top on her second flight. Overall the experience was so good especially for the price. We will definitely be going back!
