What To Expect

Explore Sarawak’s rich history on this mountain biking Kuching cave tour. We have stops at some of Borneo’s oldest gold mines and Kuching’s famous Wind & Fairy Caves where you will catch a glimpse of local wildlife. What You'll Do - Off-Road Tour After a scenic 45-minute car ride, we arrive at our first stop – Kuching’s Wind Cave. Here we will walk through the dark caverns where you can hear the bats hanging from the ceiling as well as the sound of them searching for swiftlet bird nests on the cave wall! Next, head off-road to discover some hidden gold mines whilst tackling some of the rocky trails leading us to our halfway point for refreshments and a visit to the impressive Fairy Cave, Kuching. After the caves, it’s off-road again to experience the challenging up and downhills of the rainforest trails! We will then load up our bikes and head back to town for a well-deserved lunch.

5.00Lister was a great guide. His patience and advice when the ride became challenging for us was appreciated, very rocky and some steep up hills and down. His smile was contagious always happy and full of information. The best guide ever.

1.00Highly do not recommend this company, unless they take measures to ensure safety and have emergency plan. We did the Rocky Mountain bike tour. To say that this tour is the most challenging is an understatement. Unless you are a regular biker on very muddy and rocky terrain, a potential death and nasty accident is bound to happen which did to me . We were not provided with arm and knee guard inspite of the operators knowing the dangerous terrain which was path filled with both big and small rocks and mud. It was almost impossible to ride through . I hit a rock and had a nasty fall , with knee hitting a big rock . The trauma left me limping and I. Extreme pain. Unfortunately there was only one guide and he was with the group front and fence wasn’t aware of my fall till much later . Thankfully my husband was close to me and helped me. For such a challenging terrain I would expect 2 guides to ensure that both the fast and slower riders were always accompanied . To make matters worse the guide had to return to the meeting point to get his van to return to fetch me as I was in a bad state no first aid kit and neither were they attentive to think it would be best to bring me to the clinic . This was just such terrible planning on their side . In contrast I had a similar bike trip in Bali where the guides stayed close and had a van following us so that they are ready to bring any injured person to the clinic . We also did ask for a vegetarian meal which unfortunately was just tell the food stalls what to remove from your food. This is inspite of them saying there is vegetarian option. 2 months on I am still limping as there is a tear in my knee and extreme trauma to the knee joint which will need more treatment. I was glad I didn’t lose my balance while riding down the rocky path and knock down others . Definitely potential death waiting to happen . The guides were great . But the owner of this company obviously does not care abt the safety of the riders and didn’t invest in basic equipment and protocol . I would say pls choose other companies. This was booked through seeking Sofia and I have logged a complaint with them. I have specifically ask that this organiser gets his act together and implement all safety measures before continuing. Please do not risk your lives with this organiser. It is not worth it and I am going through the pain of their negligence. Am unable to bend knee , walk or rest knee long . It could all have been avoided with something as simple as a knee guard . I am unable to forgive them for causing me mobility issues .

5.00Lucky for us we were the only 2 on our tour with Mr Lister. Very fit and enthusiastic, took us to the gold mining area, was very knowledgeable as Bau is his home area and it was clear he loves it. Visited the Blue Lake, Fairy cave and rode quality bikes on and off road. Patient guide, we weren't great at going up rocky inclines but going downhill was awesome! Followed up with a well earned lunch. Thanks again :)

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the bike tour and had so much fun doing the off road portion. We are not very experienced mountain bikers so I would grade the off road portion at an intermediate level. No jumps, but very rocky and a few obstacles. The wind caves tour was really good too. Our guide Lister was very helpful, knowledgeable, spoke very good English and supported us with tips for riding, gave us the confidence boost we needed for mountain biking and made sure we were okay. No injuries! 🤩
