Chaotic service and set up. Too many boats with too many divers and snorkelers at once. Little assistance and minimal explanations for divers especially upon arrival. Super rude owner. Boat I was on had 4 children (ages 4 to 10?) with minimal supervision (both parents and a nanny were there but leaving the kids to do whatever) making the trip unpleasant for all including the staff who seemed to be struggling with managing the kids. Recommend Molamola have age limits on these crowded boats and/or require parents to supervise their children. After the negative experience with Molamola I went out with Blue Flow diving who were great!

Nice experience made by people who love what they do, well organized good food and great turtle sighting spots. Always available via whatsapp. The only note are for the ladders are a little difficult to climb and descend compared to a ladder

Great experience and great snorkeling. We saw plenty of sea turtles, colorful fish, pufferfish, an octopus, and a cuttlefish. The food was food was food. The only thing I wish is that we had make time to just hang out at the island. They take you to two different snorkeling spots, at the second spot they give the option to hang out on island instead of snorkeling for 45 minutes to an hour. I chose to snorkel more because I thought we still had more time to go to the island after. Other than that great trip

This has been only of the reviews that I’ve been struggling with. The dive sites around Muscat are of exceptional beauty and a must visit for any diving enthusiast. Seeing some ghost nets during one of the dives surprised me and is something that I’d like to see the dive centres take more accountability for (see later.) Nevertheless, making the logistics work to get to those islands (45-60min boat drive) during early high season is champions league. And here lies the crux. While everyone at MolaMola has been kind, comforting and helpful, the logistics are what could be improved. Every day, the procedures were slightly different and there was some struggle on getting equipment for the new ones/figuring out the right amount of weight on each boat. Learning that the team was a boat short (late delivery) and needed to rent some boats in the meantime is something that can happen. But if the new boat is more than 4 weeks, I’d expect the team to re-visit procedures and consider better material and people flow allowing for a better customer experience. Namely, clear instructions of who you are diving with on that day to simplify the equipment preparation and pre-planning of the number of weight belts/weights per boat. Another problem I’d like the dive center to consider is managing late customers. On two days, we (12+ divers, all setup and on board) were waiting for 1-2 missing divers - once for 30+ minutes. Here I’d like to see the dive center apply more rigour. If its departure time (usually 30-40min after the meeting time at the dive center) and someone is neither there nor has notified the office of any delay, the boat should leave. Overall, this would be a 4/5 rating but having had a fantastic experience with highly qualified dive instructors who truly deserve it, I’ll rate the potential over the minor flaws in execution. I especially want to acknowledge Bonnie and her openness to feedback about the operations - looking forward to seeing things change! Lastly, a recommendation regarding the ghost nets seen during diving Walid June. I truly believe that many divers out there would appreciate an option to do something about it. Such as discounted reef cleanup dives (e.g. one normal dive and one clean up dive) to leave the environment in a better state that you found it.

The trip to the diminiyat islands is genuinely a great trip as the natural wildlife makes the trip, so we had a good time despite some of the issues with the operator. The good parts were that the operator was very professional in the booking and communication, they accommodated a last minute change due to illness. However we had some issues with the trip. We felt the safety on the boat was lacking, there was only 1 child (7yo) on the boat but due to boarding last we were forced to sit at the back of the boat next to the engine, we also had to request a life vest for the child which should have been compulsory, it wasn't offered or mentioned until we had left the dock and we felt it was unsafe. The food had been advertised as freshly cooked BBQ on the boat by the captain on the website, however it turned out to be chicken tawooq or mince kebabs cooked before the trip by a local restaurant and it was cold by the time it was served. Also the fresh fruit which was mentioned never appeared. The first snorkel location was really good and we enjoyed the time there but then we were forced to move to a second location, when we arrived it was unclear if we were to snorkel or eat as the food was being set up. Due to the sunsetting we started snorkeling and 5 mins later we were told the food was ready. After the food the sun had set and it was not a good location for snorkeling due to a lack of reefs, all the passengers had finished and were waiting to leave but the guide then decided to take a few of the guest scuba diving which we had to wait for them to finish their dive to leave. It was too dark to snorkel and we were too far from the beach so we just had to wait. One passenger cut their foot on the boat due to a few dangerous parts of the boat not being maintained, we as passengers took the first aid kit to help but the iodine had leaked over most of it and was not fit for use. They did their own first aid with tissues and ice. The toilet on board was horrendous, unfortunately due to the boat being full we were forced to sit next to the toilet door and had to move if a passenger needed the toilet. All in all we had a nice trip due to the island, despite the unsafe boat, poor food and waiting around. At 30 OMR each it was expensive for the service provided

A huge shout-out to the team at Mola Mola Diving Centre in Muscat, Oman (at the Al Mouj Harbour area), for giving us a truly memorable and top-of-the-line snorkelling experience. On October 25th my partner, my brother, and I went on their fantastic excursion: "Daymaniyat Islands Snorkeling Trip with BBQ Lunch." We went out on a superb boat named "Simba" after the gorgeous dog that belongs to the company owner (Simba was also being a very good boi ambassador during our check-in at the Mola Mola office). We had an exceptional time due to the skills, experience, professionalism, high-quality training, as well as warmth, friendliness, and consideration of Ed (Snorkelling Guide and Instructor), Bonnie (Snorkelling Guide and Instructor), and Arif (Boat Captain). Bonnie and Ed made everyone feel so welcome, and also provided detailed guidance for swimmers, snorkelers, and divers of all levels of experience. They strategically chose sites that allowed us to see (and swim right next to!) 8-9 different Green Sea Turtles. Additionally, we saw scores of colorful fish of all shapes and sizes! Ed also helped a swimmer who was struggling in the open water, and even retrieved my brother's Go-Pro Camera that accidentally fell off and was drifting down to the ocean floor (thanks to Ed's quick thinking the camera didn't touch the pristine coral at the bottom, didn't become ocean junk, and my brother was also reunited with his not-so-inexpensive equipment). We had a terrific time thanks to Ed, Bonnie, and Arif, and recommend this trip -- and the Mola Mola Dive Centre -- enthusiastically to everyone. They were brilliant hosts, and made the trip particularly enjoyable for all.

We had a great day as a family with the crew of our trip. Everything was perfectly set up on land, the boat was tiptoe and all the guides & captains were super professional, friendly and provided a good atmosphere! Two of us were scuba diving and two were snorkeling in parallel - each group had enough guides and time, Carolina took great photos underwater both snorkeling and diving and you felt really well taken care of. The barbecue on board was fresh and very delicious, there was always water and juice on board. Of course, no one can guarantee the animals, but we had turtles, moray eels, a barracuda and many other fish to discover underwater. All in all a not quite cheap fun, but the center is really worth its money!!! Thanks to Bonnie, Carolina, Ibrahim, Ali and the rest of the crew - it was great with you! Always happy to come back!!

Great company. Well organized. They got a little bit of a late start. I’m not sure why, but when I complained, we took off right away. Nice boat- it took about half an hour to get to the snorkeling spot. We saw tons of turtles all feasting on something at the bottom of the ocean —like maybe 10 of them. Then we went to a separate spot and snorkel some more and saw a ton of fish and a black tip shark. Overall, it was a great experience. The lunch wasn’t that great. Beef and chicken on a stick. Not hot. Nothing great not bad. The staff was excellent. Shout out to Bonnie.
