RCA Studio B
Historic RCA Studio B opened in 1957 and was once the recording home of popular music titans such as Elvis Presley, Chet Atkins, Eddy Arnold, and the Everly Brothers is both a classroom for Nashville area students and a popular cultural attraction. RCA Studio B first became known as one of the cradles of the “Nashville Sound” in the 1960s. A sophisticated style characterized by background vocals and strings, the Nashville Sound both revived the popularity of country music and helped establish Nashville as an international recording center. Hitmakers in Studio B have included Eddy Arnold, Waylon Jennings, Bobby Bare, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves, Willie Nelson, and Floyd Cramer, among others. For many years, Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Chet Atkins managed RCA’s Nashville operation and produced hundreds of hits in Studio B.

Cool to stand in the same spot so many famous people recorded songs. Ron was a great tour guide and gave us so much relevant information. Definitely worth visiting and hearing all the stories and listening to the music that was recorded right there.

A must do for music fans. Ron, our tour guide, knows his stuff! Unreal! So interesting - feels like you’re right there with Elvis in the studio. Would highly recommend adding the RCA Studio B tour to your ticket.

Excellent dual tour visiting the original RCA studio where many legends have recorded. Much smaller unit than expected but it rattled out over 1000 hits - unbelievable. Then back to the Country music hall of fame. Brought back memories and songs long forgotten. Really puts into context how massive Country and Western music was/is. Fabulous 4/5 hours supported by very enthusiastic staff who clearly thoroughly enjoyed their job.

This was a fun tour. Brenda was our guide for Studio B. She was knowledgeable but fun. We did Studio B first and then did our self guided tour of the Hall of Fame. If you love music and entertainment then you will enjoy this. Parking at Music City Center is very close by. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to Studio B and brings you back to the Hall of Fame. This is a great day time activity in Nashville!
