5.00What a great walk around Newcastle! Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable about all our pub visits and the surrounding neighborhood. We really appreciated the educational nature of it. Would recommend this tour (and Stephen in particular) to anyone! It was fascinating! Of course, the drinks were great too!!

5.00Stephan is an absolute gem! This 4 1/2 hour tour was one of the highlights of our two week holiday. With an ample abundance of ale and massive dose of history…this is a fantastic walking tour of Newcastle. Stephan is extremely knowledgeable about European history and has selected a fantastic group of 5 uniquely different pubs. Starting from the beautiful Centurion at the Newcastle Central Station and finished at the elegant City Tavern. Each location has a story…and great beer, ale, cider and cocktail selections. So interesting to learn of Stephan’s family history and books that he has authored. Stephan did a great YouTube video discussing historic battle with “The Red Barron”…his great great great Grandfather won the battle. His tours will book extremely quickly…he told us he had several others from our cruise that were willing to pay him to switch. If his tour is available on the date you are in Newcastle…book it immediately!!!

5.00Stephen was the best pub and Newcastle guide we could have asked for! We thought he was going to just show us some cool pubs, new and old. However, Stephen went so much deeper! We learned about Newcastle’s history, culture, each pub’s history, and local sports culture. That doesn’t even scratch the surface to our experience thanks to him. On the logistical side, he had simple instructions on where to meet. He also warned of the hilly nature of the city so that we were prepared for the short hikes between pubs. All in all, we had a phenomenal tour that was quite memorable. We will definitely be contacting Stephen on our return to England in the future! Geordies are so friendly and knowledgeable (unlike a Mackem jk!).
