Our Tour guide will meet you at Kusadasi Port or the lobby of Listed hotels with your name sign at pre-arranged time . Pick up time will be given during your confirmation. Kusadasi Cruise Terminal pick up time normally 30 to 45 minutes after your cruise arrival
Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)
Our first stop is the House of Virgin Mary. The House of Virgin Mary is located on the Aladag Mountains 5 miles away from Ephesus. At the third Ecumenical Council on 431 AD in Ephesus, it was claimed that Mary came to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and lived there until her death in 48 A.D. After the discovery of the house, the Archbishop of Izmir declared there as a place of pilgrimage in 1892. On July 26, 1967, Pope Paul VI visited this place and prayed there

5.00Tez (Taz) was our private tour guide and honestly if I could give more than 5 stars I would. He was absolutely incredible. He got us to all the main sights before the big tour busses arrived and once the ancient city of Ephesus started to get busy he made sure to keep us either ahead of or behind all the large Tours so we didn't get lost in the shuffle. He gave us general knowledge about Turkey on the way to the house of the Virgin mary and made sure to point out neat little things along the way. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.

5.00It was amazing a great tour the house off the Virgin Mary was spectacular. It was very hot so take an umbrella would be advisable in the summer months.
Disappointed to be taken to a leather shop that we had no interest in going to and wasn’t mentioned when booking tour

5.00Our guide was very knowledgeable , engaging and humorous . We really enjoyed his story telling and anecdotes. The only negative aspect of the tour was that we were taken to a leather and fur shop for a fashion show . This wasn’t mentioned when I booked the tour and I had avoided booking similar tours where they took you to carpet shops etc as I don’t want to waste our time with things I have no interest in We weren’t asked if we wanted to go and nobody on our tour was interested in buying leather jackets . It was a bit cringeworthy watching models showing off jackets that no one was interested in . This took around 40-50 minutes out of a very long day . We would have preferred that time to explore Kusadasi further before getting back on our cruise . I would recommend it however I would suggest that when booking make it clear that you only want the tour and not have your time wasted being taken to somewhere trying to sell you stuff you don’t want .

5.00Touring Ephesus is a pretty amazing experience. Our guide was Inan, who has worked in archeology and art history. He speaks very good English.
