5.00Our hiking experience in Ella with Thushan was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we met him, he made us feel welcome and comfortable, setting the tone for a truly memorable day. Thushan is not only incredibly knowledgeable about the local area, flora, and fauna, but also deeply passionate about sharing the natural beauty and culture of Sri Lanka. He took us along scenic trails that we would never have found on our own, including quiet paths through tea plantations, hidden viewpoints, and local villages where we got a genuine glimpse of everyday life. What stood out most was Thushan’s warm personality and attention to detail. He tailored the pace perfectly to our group, shared great stories and local legends, and made sure everyone was safe and happy throughout the hike. He also helped us take some amazing photos at Little Adam’s Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge, timing it perfectly to avoid the big crowds. By the end of the day, it felt less like we had hired a guide and more like we’d spent the day exploring with a good friend. I can’t recommend Ella Hikes and Thushan highly enough to anyone visiting this beautiful part of Sri Lanka.
