Let yourself be surprised with this beautiful trip to ancient Perú. We will discover the most important oracle during “Incas” time. This impressive archeological site is still considered a sacred place for many local natives. In the past, everybody wanted to come to Pachacamac to visit and say "thank you" to the creator (Pachacamac) for receiving a good harvest, climate, water source, etc, and also to get answers to their questions. Pachacamac was also the place for high-level studies of astronomy, architecture, also a place for ancient rituals and human sacrifices as payments to Mother Earth; natives celebrated large festivities in honor of the gods. Come and immerse yourself in the ancient culture of Pachacamac!

Museo de Sitio y Santuario Arqueologico de Pachacamac
Let's travel back in time and visit the most important sacred sanctuary in the central coast of southamerica. Admire its colossal size and be amazed with the panoramic view of their ancient pyramids, fresh breze of the pacific ocean and the green valley below. It takes about 1 hour to get to Pachacamac, it is an archaeological complex that is a pre-Columbian citadel with adobe and stone palaces, and pyramidal temples. It is located about 31 km southeast of the city center. We recommend a visit to Pachacamac first, as an introduction to the Inca culture before going to Cusco and Machu Picchu. You will better understand the Inca tradition!

We had a very pleasant time with Maverick, our guide — he was very knowledgeable and insightful about everything on the tour, as well as general questions we had about Peru as a country. Our driver, Alberto, was also fun to chat with during our excursion. We liked them so much that we’ve asked them both to take us to Huacachina when we come back from Machu Picchu. Thank you, Maverick, for making us laugh while educating us!

This tour was an unexpected delight. We learned so much about Lima and the native traditions and customs on this tour. The company was extremely accommodating with pickup and drop off when our plans changed.

We enjoyed this tour as an alternative to investing 10 hours to visit Caral. Aaron was a great guide - friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer questions about his family and city beyond the specific tour. The site has an excellent small museum that explains the many cultures that built and used it. A bonus was the view from the top to get an understanding of both the site and surrounding landscape. Even the drive there showed us more parts of Lima we had not yet visited- and our second ride with Percy was as good as the first!

Aaron was our guide (awesome!) And Percy our driver (glad he could navigate the traffic!) Fantastic experience. The excavation site is huge. Aaron took us through the museum and gave us great historical background on the Inca civilization that occupied this place in the 1400s. Highly recommend Pachacamac tour!

Our Tour Guide was Gabbie. She was very good. Very friendly. Added a lot of personal details and made the drive fun. The site is very cool. Not too far from Lima, and bigger than you think.
