This unique culinary experience offers three great options: beef, chicken, and fish, all carefully selected by our top chefs. The adventure begins with a visit to a local market, where you'll discover a wide variety of Peruvian products. Together, we will purchase the fresh ingredients needed to prepare the authentic Peruvian dishes of your choice. Under the guidance of our professional chefs, you will learn essential culinary techniques and the secrets of Peruvian gastronomy in our well-equipped kitchen studio. Best of all, any of the three options can be easily adapted to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets.
It's also important to note that our company is committed to supporting our nonprofit sister organization, Reciprocity NGO. The profits generated from our tours enable Reciprocity NGO to implement social projects aimed at improving the quality of life for communities living below the poverty line.

This culinary experience has three options: a starter and a main course with choices of chicken, fish, or beef. Please read the three options carefully and select your preferred choice.
All dish options can be adapted for vegetarian, gluten-free, or vegan diets. Please inform us of your dietary restrictions in advance.
If you would like to combine your cooking class choices, for example, the starter of the chicken option with the main course of the fish option, it is possible; however, you must consult us first.
We do not allow pets on our shared tours. If you have a pet, please feel free to request a quotation for a private class.

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up to begin your culinary adventure at Surquillo Market Number 2, a vibrant local market. Here, you will learn about the various vegetables, exotic fruits, and groceries produced in Peru. Additionally, your tour guide and chef will introduce you to the fresh ingredients needed for the preparation of the dishes. Get ready to experience a truly authentic local market!
Once we purchase all the products in the local market, we will head to our cozy kitchen studio in Miraflores. You will actively participate in the preparation of each dish selected by the group. Don’t worry! Our friendly chef and his team will guide you step by step throughout the entire class. You'll love the fun and relaxed atmosphere—there are no boring demonstrations here, as we believe in a hands-on approach.

Gracias Cesar, Gracias Chef Ruth! What an incredible experience from beginning to end. My daughter (11 years old), husband and I. loved visiting the local market for fresh fruit and veggies. We then entered into their professional kitchen and the magic really started. We sampled various native potatoes, fruits, and then made ceviche and lomo saltado from scratch. Absolutely delicious. Cesar (our guide) and Chef were so knowledgable and generous with their expertise. 10/10!!!

A fun and informative class! From Edwin our driver to tour guide Silvana and chef Ruth, staff are professional, personable and friendly. The market tour was integral to see where the food we'd be cooking came from. I loved learning about the historical and cultural significance of different ingredients and the dishes we were preparing. The studio in Miraflores is clean and nicely decorated. We had a good deal of flexibility in choosing what dishes we wanted to prepare. You make a potato appetizer, then we chose to make Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. Before this you get to try a variety of local fruits - which was so fun. Everything turned out delicious and you get a copy of the recipes (plus some more) at the end of the tour. Completely recommend going with Haku tours!!!

This was a great experience! The team showed up on time for pickup. Very welcoming and very fun. Visited a local market and learn about the Peruvian cuisine and culture. Karina, our chef was so amazing. The food was delicious. This was so worth the time and price we paid.!!

It was an amazing experience. We were able to do a market tour, look at the local vendors and see the food we were gonna make. We made the delicious ceviche and beef dish, also had a fruit tasting and a potato testing. Would highly recommend this tour and can’t wait to come back!
