Palo Verde National Park on the banks of Tempisque River is one of the most important Wetlands RAMSAR SITES in Costa Rica. This Conservation area of 30 thousand acres have 15 different habitats that being one of most biological diverse sites in our country.

Become the largest concentration of crocodiles and aquatic birds in Costa Rica with around 200 birds species as egrets, herons, hawks, eagles and others.

Bird-watching lovers i suggest do early tours departures from hotels.

You take a boat ride panga style by 1 and half hour cover with roof to shade It or in case of rain.

At the end we have a typical lunch rice and beans, green salad, meat like chichen, pork, handmade tortilla, fruit juice and coffee cup. Cook on wood oven.

The Palo Verde National Park on the banks of the Rio Tempisque is one of the best wildlife and bird-watching spots in Costa Rica with around 15 different habitats thus being one of Costa Rica's most biological diverse sites. Tempisque river has the largest concentration of crocodiles in our country. The remote wetland sanctuary harbours one of Central Americas largest concentration of aquatic birds and is the most important migratory bird site of the Mesoamerican Pacific. Boat Tour duration: 1 AND A HALF HOUR.. Panga are cover with roof in case or rain or shade it in case of sunny day. After this tour we are ready to try a delicious costa rican typical Lunch cooking on wood ovens. Finish lunch local artisan explain you step by step how make Ceramic Pottery pots and also you can purchase as a souvenir. What to bring: Light clothes, hiking shoes or sneakers, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars and Camera. .

We took thus tour on Nov 26. Our driver and guide Wilmar was the best. We were seniors with mobility issues. Wilmar was patient, understanding and helpful . The boat tour was Scenic, relaxing and calming. We spotted a few crocodiles, white faced monkies and some rare birds. The veg lunch after the tour was delicious. Definitely recommend this tour and do not have any negative comments. Thank you Wilmar for a great tour.
