Historical Museum of the Miramare Castle
The tour will take you to Miramare Castle which stands on the tip of the promontory overlooking the sea. The Castle is surrounded by a beautiful park with valuable botanical species where one can relax. This noble residence commissioned by Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Habsburg and his wife Charlotte was built between 1856 and 1860.

4.00Dean was personable, informative giving a wonderful tour of Trieste and its hills. We saw the beautiful Miramere Castle where we also walked it lovely grounds. We were also able to see the Sanctuary of Monte Grisa.

5.00This was a wonderful tour. The castle is beautiful as well as the gardens. Go early as it gets crowded fast. And be prepared to walk a lot. Our guide was wonderful.

3.00What a very nice tour guide, however his ability to answer questions was limited. He provided commentary during the tour and was very attentive to us. He treated us all with respect and helped us as needed. However, when we were in Trieste - actually he didn't tour Trieste at all - I asked him one question and he said he didn't know anything about Trieste because he lived in Slovenia and we should go there and he could give us a good tour. That was very disappointing. If you are going to have someone, give a tour of someplace then that person should know about it. Also, my ticket said I would be picked up at my hotel, but the email said at a central spot. It was very confusing what was to happen and the customer support I had in reference to this was not good. I am not the only one on this tour that had this complaint.
