Your Archaeological Guided Tour starts from Porta Marina with the imposing Mount Vesuvius watching over us, we’ll explore Pompeii’s political and social heart: the Basilica, the Forum and its bustling market, and the city’s most important temples. Strolling along the Decumanus Maximus, you’ll follow the footsteps of ancient citizens as daily life unfolds before your eyes.
We’ll enter elegant private houses, wander through shops and Roman taverns, and pause before the haunting plaster casts of the victims. The journey continues through the Theatre and the Gladiators’ Barracks, where echoes of spectacle and power still linger.
PLEASE NOTE: This tour is led for years by professional guides expert in archaeology and ancient architecture/art.

What To Expect
Pompeii Archaeological Park
Porta Marina Superiore: the guide will be waiting for you outside the archaeological park with the sign “Pompeii Vip”. It forms the western entrance to the city and the name "Marina" comes from the fact that the outgoing road led to the sea.

5.00Unforgettable tour to discover Pompeii. The guide was very good in explaining without making them weigh as if they were history lessons but telling it with passion but always ready to deepen in case of questions, thus making the tour very pleasant even for those who do not know about history. The guide allowed us to easily see the most significant parts and gave us indications on what to see and how to settle in in case we wanted to continue the visit independently after the guided tour. It was really worth it

5.00The experience was absolutely breathtaking, truly a once-in-a-lifetime wonder. We both enjoyed every moment. Our guide, Ornella, was exceptional: incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and deeply passionate about Pompeii's history. You could genuinely feel the empathy and heart he brings to telling the story of such a beautiful yet tragic place. His passion brought history to life and turned the tour into something truly inspiring. I cannot recommend Ornella enough.
