There was a good explanation about the history of soba (with just the right level of detail). He was a great teacher, explaining techniques fully and carefully, and letting us learn by doing - giving us room to make small mistakes that we could learn from. He was patient and pleasant. The resulting meal surpassed our expectations - we actually produced a quite-edible product, and they had the skills to make it delicious. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended session.

Great experience and very accommodating. We messed up the time and Taku was very nice to take us in. Really appreciate it. The soba making was fun and the final product was delicious. Make sure to get the tempura and duck soup.

Learn to make buckwheat noodles from scratch. Pick a tempura (at extra cost) to eat with your noodles. Nice, friendly couple running the shop.

Had a wonderful time experiencing Soba making. The location is easy to find and we had a lot of fun. There are improvements needed, for example, the Soba Master can introduce more of himself of how he gained the experience over the years and have a sample of his soba for us to taste. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves very much.

We are very happy to have booked the soba experience and could spend a rainy afternoon with Taku. He explained a lot about soba and shared his experience with the recipe. It was a nice family activity with eating the delicious soba and tempura vegetable and shrimps.
