Women only bakery walking tours invite you to slow down, savor the moment, and indulge in the city’s sweetest treasures. It’s the perfect brunch time activity for a bachelorette party, girl’s day out, or to connect with other women over pastries and coffee.
The West End is home to elegant 19th-century homes, tree lined streets, and a cozy, intimate vibe. Here you’ll find some of the city’s best cafés and award winning bakeries, where you’ll sample irresistible pastries and locally roasted coffee.
Whether you're visiting for the first time or rediscovering your own backyard, a bakery crawl is the perfect chance to soak up Portland’s vibrant culture. You’ll be led by McKenzie, a passionate local who’s created wedding cakes and dessert tables across Maine. Come hungry and bring your sense of adventure; Portland's best bites are waiting for you!

The tour will run rain or shine, so please dress accordingly and bring an umbrella if necessary.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
What To Expect
Meander through Portland's West End, sampling from the city's most beloved local bakeries and coffee roasters. You'll start by grabbing a beverage (on us!) at one of our favorite shops and then you'll stroll onward, making between 3-4 more stops along your route!

Parking Fees
Tips for your local guide are not included. If you enjoyed your tour and feel compelled to tip, between $15-25 per person is common. However, gratuities to servers are included in your ticket price.

5.00Come HUNGRY! You will get so much more good food than you would expect! Wear some comfy shoes to walk in. McKenzie is such a joy and easy person to talk to. The tour was well-organized, and informative. Would highly recommend going with a little group of the girls to enjoy a nice morning walk with great company and great food!

5.00Fantastic bakery tour! I was looking to meet new people, find good food spots, and learn a little more about Portland since I just moved to the area recently. McKenzie was super nice and super knowledgeable! It’s clear that she is passionate about her tours— every detail was perfect!! She even gave us pastry bags in case we wanted to save some of the food for later!

5.00Was absolutely the funniest thing I have done so far in Portland. Having recently moved here and wanting to find cute and funky places to study and eat, this was the best thing I could do! Gabbed the entire way, laughed along with everyone and ate the best sweet and savory pastries! The weather was beautiful and I loved learning the history of each shop and what makes them unique in an already unique city, such a wonderful touch! McKenzie is the sweetest, funnest, and clearly loves these places.
Fun and delicious and highly recommend it if you like pastries.

5.00This tour was such a fun way to spend a morning in Portland and get to know my city better! Kenzie is an excellent guide and her experience as a baker adds so much expertise and insight into the bakeries we visited. The samples were a perfect balance of sweet, savory, light, and filling. I never felt overstuffed despite getting to try so many excellent treats! I had so much fun with my family and also got to know the other folks we toured with. I would recommend this experience to any foodie/sweet tooth who wants to explore Portland. Can’t wait to book the east end tour soon!

5.00I have now done both the West End and East End bakery crawls and I’m already ready to go again! I’ve never been super into going on city tours, but this bakery crawl feels more like hanging out at a cafe with your friends, with the bonus of walking around a beautiful city. Mckenzie has taken the time to know each bakery she takes you to and she chooses the perfect balance of sweet and savory treats! Can’t recommend this enough to any and all women!!

5.00This was my second bakery crawl in Portland with McKenzie and it was just as much fun as the first! This time we meandered through the West End stopping at different bakeries and coffee cafes and sampling delicious treats along the way! Loved hearing a little history about the bakeries and Portland and sharing laughter and stories with other women! I will definitely be doing more of these with family and friends!
