Good for avoiding crowds, we guide small groups that give you a more local immersion personalized experience. The quality of our guides, wines and the wineries visited stand out from other tours.
The tour begins with a visit to a port wine producer: Quinta da Roêda. There will be a personalized guided tour on the vineyards where the process of making the port wine will be explained. The wine tasting will be accompanied by a careful selection of Portuguese cheeses.
After tasting, we will embark 1 hour boat ride where the calm of the river will inspire us. This soothing ride is the best time to contemplate the landscape and nature of the Douro Valley.
Lunch is served in a beautiful farm overlooking to the vineyards where there are several food options: fish, meat or vegetarian. Everything are included in the price.
The second winery is a small table wine producer, It will be an interesting opportunity to have more contact with the locals. The visit ends with an olive oil tasting.

Porto
The pickup will be made at a pick-up point in the city of Porto, the journey to the Douro Valley is about 1h30 minutes.
Quinta do Panascal
Visit to Quinta do Panascal where we will take a tour to the vineyards and a tasting of 3 Port wines.

His English was first rate and we felt lucky to be in such great hands. He smartly reordered the stops to accommodate the weather. The tour was well designed, fun and beautiful. A perfect day!

1.00We had to cancel this tour due to the fires in the area. I reached out to the tour operator about my hesitation to do the tour since I have reactive airways and they refused to refund. There was smoke and ash in the Porto area the day before the tour and my family and I had to leave abruptly after smelling the air and realizing how close the fires are to Duoro valley. The tour operator just said there are no fires in the area and that response was very disappointing to hear them try to minimize the severity of the situation.
