On this one day walking tour, you will explore the highlights of Nagoya and discover the rich historical legacy of the samurai era. You will visit the Nagoya Castle, the Osu Kannon Temple, as well as the modern Sakae area!
Please note: The Main Castle tower in Nagoya castle will be closed to the public from May 7th,2018.The entire Hommaru Palace will be open to the public from Jun 8th.

What To Expect
Nagoya Castle
9:00am - Pick up from the Nagoya Station's Tourism Information Office, then take the subway to Nagoya Castle 9:45am - See the Nagoya Castle, a wonderful masterpiece of Japanese medieval architecture, that is famous for its golden roof ornaments and unique scroll paintings inside the recently renovated main palace. After strolling around the spacious castle complex, you will take the subway to Nagoya's heart, the Sakae district.
Oasis 21
11am - 1pm - Explore Sakae's downtown area and visit the futuristic-looking landmark Oasis 21 where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops. Have lunch and taste delicious local specialties. See Nagoya TV Tower before taking the subway to your next destination.

5.00Very interesting private tour with Taka who knew how to find us what we wanted to buy. We just regretted that the tour did not include the Shogun Museum next to the castle... we would have liked to have his explanations!
Random photos taken on their phone camera without consent

4.00We signed the travel agency agreement at the start to indicate that we do NOT wish our photos to be used by them for advertising purposes. However the guide kept taking photos of my family randomly using her own phone camera (even though she had also helped us take photos on our own phone), saying she was helping us to take photos and will send photos to me. She never sent these photos to me. We felt this actually spoilt the overall experience that our privacy wish wasn’t respected - clearly she only wanted our photos taken and not for the client’s benefit. Other than that, our tour guide spoke good English and was family friendly.

5.00A lovely day tour of the Nagoya Castle and the significant places of Nagoya. Our tour guide, Mrs. Tsuji, was patient, knowledgeable, and give us the storied backgrounds of the many things we saw during the tour. She was also very cheerful and certainly help livened up the cloudy and rainy day that we had. Would certainly recommend her!

5.00Mr Yama-san was an energetic and jolly conversationalist and lively in explaining things, up to every detail. We had a great time with him. No dull moment at all! He explains all the history of the sights! He took care of us by giving cold packs as it was so hot due to summer! He even gave a simple souvenir to my daughter. As a bonus, we also fed the huge koi fishes in a pond 😊

5.00Very nice day with our guide Yama San, we started with a visit to the fish market, then continued with the fabulous castles of Nagoya and its surroundings, we tasted a fabulous miso soup before leaving for the end of the visit at famous osu temple near osu market (very beautiful open market) Thank you for this wonderful day. We recommend it to anyone who comes to Nagoya for a day ♥️

5.00A beautifully selected and guided tour through Nagoya with great photo and food spots. There were also a few shrine visits including explanations of how to pray in Shinto and Buddhist temples. Transfers by subway went smoothly. My guide, Hiro-San, spoke good English, so he was easy to understand. At lunchtime we discovered the culinary side of Nagoya.

5.00Nagoya castle itself was very interesting, but Keiko san’s tour guide made it more special. I was able to learn about history and details about the castle. She was considerate enough to give special towel to protect me from hot weather and recommended me nice spots to take good pictures. I had a great day thanks to this tour!!
