Cordoba is full of history. The story beneath the mezquite cathedral is impressive and a must to know about. If you go without a tour guide you are missing the essence of the place.

Excellent guide in Christina, whose English is almost perfect and she is friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a fascinating 4 hours in the major sights of Cordoba. Sadly we could not go inside the Alcazar due to renovations, but we were instead taken to the gardens and also the baths. The walk around the Jewish quarter was also good. I will say that our private tour was good in terms of personal treatment, but was expensive.

We really felt like we were being mistaken for pigeons! We paid for 2 people 244 euros in August for a private tour in French of everything there is to see in Cordoba. Now the Alcazar has been closed for work for 3 months, we only saw the gardens, our guide confessed to us that she had a little trouble with French and we stayed only half an hour in the cathedral mosque, all the rest of the time was spent in the streets and the monuments not paying. We wanted to have fun and we will keep a really bitter taste of this experience!

Patrícia was a wonderful guide! She enthusiastically shared her knowledge of the history of the Mezquita-Catedral and surrounding areas (Jewish Quarter, Synagogue, San Basílio, etc) She was exceptionally warm, friendly and happy to entertain random questions as we toured. I wholeheartedly recommend the experience. You won’t be disappointed.
