What To Expect

We will begin our adventure by walking along trails where, with a little luck and the guidance of our experts, you will be able to observe fascinating animals such as sloths, monkeys and exotic birds. As we go deeper into the jungle, we will reach a viewpoint with a view that will leave you breathless, a true natural spectacle that will connect you with the majesty of the environment. If conditions allow, this viewpoint is also the perfect place to watch surfers in action. Afterwards, we will continue our journey towards the river, where we will board kayaks to continue exploring this natural paradise. If conditions allow, we will also venture towards the sea, allowing you to live a complete aquatic experience. The contrast between the serenity of the river and the energy of the sea makes this tour something truly special. 5.00We started with a short hike around Punta Uva then followed by a kayak on the river that flows into the sea. Francisco, our guide was friendly and full of passion for nature, conservation and his amazing country. It was very chilled and relaxing and numerous turtles, birds, monkeys and of course Sloths were seen. Also only 2 other people on the tour, which made it very personal. Special thanks for letting us come the day after our booking due to a tummy bug.

5.00We had a very special experience both on foot and on our kayak. It was not something we could have accomplished on our own. Our guide helped us view howler monkeys, spider monkeys, sloth, sea turtle, river turtle, iguana, leaf cutting ants, crabs, and a whole range of plants. He had wonderful perspective on the ecosystem. Francisco was extremely caring and informative and the best guide.

3.00Tour was less than 3 hours and no fruit offered. Relaxing vibe and tour guide was a kind soul with a good eye to spot wildlife. We saw a sloth but was far away for my eyesight. I think you could save money renting a kayak yourself but then you dont have the expertise of a guide to explain things.

2.00In my opinion, unfortunately, completely overpriced. The tour was described a 3 hours tour - we spent kayaking only like one hour although the whether was perfect. After, we walked on the cliff of Punta Uva for another 40 minutes. I would have expected to learn something about the Nature around me, but our guide said no more than "oh look, turtles/iguana", "hello Turtle", "bye Turtle" and he basically didnt know much about nature. It was nice, we saw loads of animals, but I wouldnt pay $65 just for letting a kayak. Also we did not get any fruit, although it was promised in the tour description... Sorry, but it was a complete touristic ripp off. Sad :-(

5.00We had Roberto as our guide and he was great! He was amazing at pointing out animals, bugs, birds……you name it! He knew a lot about the history of Costa Rica along with the plants and landscape. We did a small hike, drank some coconut water, and went up the river for a kayak trip. We saw so many monkeys and sloths! It was a great excursion!

5.00We had a great tour with Yara and could see all kind of sloths and monkeys and learned a lot about the local flora and fauna. Highly recommend. A fresh coconut water to refresh was the perfect ending for the tour.

5.00We had an amazing time on this trip. Yara is knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. She started us off on a nature walk in forested land near the ocean. We saw monkeys and sloths and she shared relevant local and indigenous history. The kayaking was exceptional. More animal sightings; birds, turtles, active monkeys, lizards, more sloths, etc. Yara took her time, answered our questions, and her love for the wildlife, local culture, and community was evident. Afterwards we each had freshly opened coconuts and drink delicious coconut milk. She even provided us with recommendations for dining and tours nearby and in other parts of Costa Rica. 10/10. No hesitation in recommending Yara for any of the tours that she offers.
