Steven our guide for the day was waiting outside the cruise terminal area holding a sign with our name. There were only 5 in our group for the day. On the ride to the Rainforest Steven told us about Limon and Costa Rica. He was great fun and very friendly. We enjoyed our day with his guidance. At the Rainforest we had a nature guide for the walks to point out wildlife and plants. She gave us plenty of time to take pictures. The Tram ride gave great views of the rainforest and the Costa Rica mountains in the distance. The guides on the boat tour worked hard to find and point out wildlife. We saw howler monkeys at a distance, many types of birds, iguanas, and a sloth up close. Steven had a snack of fresh fruit waiting for us after the river boat. He made the trip fun and informative. I would recommend to anyone who wants to see rainforest.

A beautiful approach to the local forest Beautiful scenery from the aerial tram. The walk on the canal allows to see several species of birds and monkeys. Maybe even a caiman. Very well connected to cruises.

The keys to this kind of tour are good comfortable vehicles and great guides. The seats on the bus had very little legroom for tall people, 6 ft+; since we spent more than 2 hrs in the bus that’s a big drawback. Our first guide was OK, not great. The second at the tram, a female called Ellie was “phoning it in”, blase and listless and only the four people closest to her could hear her and that didn’t seem to concern her at all. A long day with a few bright spots.

Our trip to Veragua Rainforest was fantastic! Our guides, Ariel Castillo and his driver “Gato” were the best. They were very accommodating and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Took us to a couple of other places that were not on our itinerary. THE BEST! I would highly recommend.
