Enjoy the southernmost rafting in Patagonia Argentina. An activity that mixes adventure, emotion and adrenaline. The Rio de las Vueltas offers an ideal setting for this activity.
In its first section, the calm waters of the river allow us to connect with nature and contemplate the beauty of the landscape framed by the imposing Cerro Fitz Roy and its satellite needles, in addition to eventually being able to see local fauna and birds. After having covered approximately 5 kms we cross the first rapid, which the guides call "Portage", after that first rapid begins a succession of rapids of approximately 10 kms, which will cause a lot of adrenaline, fun and will give you the right dose of adventure to an experience that will awaken all your senses and will make you experience Patagonia from a completely different perspective.

It is a rafting experience that takes place in the Río de las Vueltas, a river of glacial origin that is born in Lago del Desierto and flows into Lake Viedma. We start at the Comarka Rafting dome, where the guides will receive the passengers and provide them with the technical equipment. Once dressed, they travel with the guides in a van (5 minutes) to the entrance area to the river, where the technical and safety talk of the activity is given. The first section of the river is 6 km of calm and meandering waters, an opportunity to contemplate Cerro Fitz Roy and its satellite needles, the Andean forest, the steppe and eventually native fauna and avifauna, it is the ideal moment to make contact with the raft and practice the rowing and safety techniques explained. The second part advances over the canyon area. After the initial rapid called “Portage”, we will find a succession of class III to III + rapids for 10 km. It is the moment of adventure and adrenaline. Once the descent is finished, a van awaits you to return to the base where you will change and enjoy a snack and a drink to recover energy.

What a wonderful experience, organised by a very professional team. They had all the gear that was required to keep you both warm and safe , top quality stuff as well (Mares). From the moment we started to get changed into the rafting gear I knew the day was going to be special. I am not an experienced rafter but have rafted in allot of the big named places (Zambezi, Colorado River, Nepal, Costa Rica, Tully River Australia) and the scenery on the Rio de las Vueltas was equal to any of it. A very professional crew and a very fun day. Keep up the good work Comarka rafting and all the best to you 😊

On Friday we went with you to the rafting at 10:00 am, (4 people) Being inexperienced in the topic of the weather we asked 3 times if the activity was done, since the weather was terrible, to which we were told that yes. We are reckless that we have come to this activity with the climatic conditions already existing before the activity. The letter of consent was signed in recognition of the dangers posed by rafting. But not even that we did, we will have been in the raft about 5-10 minutes at most. The rest of us had to climb, climb and dodge things that I don't think are part of their activity, it was more than dangerous. 3 guides for 14 people. Both they and we were hurt. At no point did we do what was said, which was to navigate some fast, or whatever. A raft was struck, we were CANCELLED right there because of the same thing that was in unsafe conditions. We request a refund and have not even been answered

This was my first time rafting and it was a blast! Not only is the activity itself fun, but our guides were amazing and made it even better. It’s definitely worth the money. There are many rapids and beautiful views of the mountains. It was a little chilly at the end but worth it. I would definitely recommend this to everyone except those who have physical limitations. It does require some fitness with paddling the raft and moving quickly.

Oh my God, what a blast!!! I booked the morning whitewater rafting trip and had so much fun that, upon return, I walked straight out of the van and into their office to sign up for the afternoon trip. Did it twice in one day and would have done a third if I could :) This is a great rafting trip because the water is huge but the rapids aren't themselves super technical, so it's exhilarating whether you are a newbie or have whitewater experience. The guides have great "crazy river man" personalities and do a fantastic job of (1) creating a jovial, loose spirit among the group, and (2) communicating safety information. They are a highly competent group of leaders -- they are able to facilitate a lot of playfulness, such as standing up in the raft through waves, etc, that is the result of them being really highly skilled on the water. I had fun jumping around in the boat and dancing and standing up, although my ACLs and knees were praying for their lives lol. There is a safety kayaker who also takes pictures and the guides wear Go Pros, so you get great footage. Having gone both in the morning and afternoon, MORNING is much better for photos/videos if that is important to you -- the sun is behind you in the afternoon, meaning everything comes out darker. So if you care about the quality of photos, then consider doing this in the morning. Fantastic experience. I spent a lot of time on whitewater growing up, and I found myself quite emotional at how this 10k on the river let me reconnect with those memories.
