Pointe du Hoc
After driving for 2 hours through the Normandy countryside, your first stop will be at Pointe du Hoc, where you can see the numerous bomb craters that have remained untouched since the war. Climb through the various bunkers to witness how the Germans used the cliffs to their advantage, and imagine how the Americans attacked and captured the battery after scaling the cliffs.
Omaha Beach
Afterward, head to Omaha Beach and pass along 8 km of coastline facing the English Channel. Ashore, you will find a sculpture called Les Braves, meaning "The Braves" in honor of the soldiers who fought in the war. There will be an opportunity to stop for a quick lunch near Omaha Beach.

Our tour guide, Adrien, was amazing! He was so personable and knowledgeable. The tour on our cruise was sold out, so we booked this. We are thankful, now, that it was. We got the better end of the deal! Well worth it!
