What To Expect
Sapa
Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Sa Pa, and then start your 10-kilometer trek through the beautiful valley. Admire the rice terraces hidden behind the morning mist as you follow a small trail to cross the Muong Hoa River.
Ta Van Village
Continue past well-tended, terraced rice fields on your way to the village of Lao Chai, where a local Black Hmong ethnic group live. Hike to the village of Ta Van Giay and trek along the route of the Muong Hoa River to cross a small suspension bridge roughly 2 kilometers from the settlement. Discover a fascinating collection of ancient rock carvings that depict images of men, stilt houses and different decorative patterns.

5.00We decided to have a couple of days in Sapa after three dry and sunny days doing the Ha Giang loop. We appreciated in advance that it’s not necessary going to be best time to visit after temperatures of 27c it is quite different 6c - 11c. However we booked a trek and had a wonderful 5hrs trekking with Nhu our guide. Visited several villages had an insight into the culture of the black mong people. At the end had a lovely dinner before getting a taxi back to Sapa. Would definitely recommend this, part of the walk is muddy but we were prepared for this.

5.00The guide was very helpful and brought us to see the villages to understand the culture. The trekking was through the hills slopes, streams and padi fields. This is something really different!
