The village of Sapa was very beautiful - a lot of ladies walking around in traditional clothes. At night the whole town was lit up. The food at the hotel was really good. On the way to cat-cat village we passed MANY places that rent out traditional clothes - really regret not doing a photo with that. These clothes are not available in town. The walk down to the village has HUNDREDS of steps, so it takes a while and you need good knees. I could not go on the trek so stayed in town and shopped. Advice: When you do the sleeper bus booking, make sure you do the "luxury cabin booking" which has curtains and a lot more comfortable.

The tour in Sa Pa was good, especially the rainy and muddy hiking session. The hotel was clean and the food was great. Very tall people may suffer from lack of leg room on the van, but we fit in nicely!

The organisation of our trip was terrible which led to unnecessary stress. Before we left we were told we could upgrade our hotel and were quoted $10USD, only to then be told this was an error and it was actually $40USD. There was no basis provided for the difference in price, and online research showed that we were be charged notably more by the operator than if we had gone to the hotel directly. We were told the incorrect time for collection and incorrect method of transport to SaPa, which meant we worried we were going to miss our bus to SaPa. When we arrived in SaPa we then had to wait nearly 2 hours before our walk began with limited information about what we would be doing, we weren’t able to check into our hotel and we were not told what would happen to our bags. Our local guide in SaPa, Mai, was excellent and we had a lovely time walking with her. The natural walk on the second day was our favourite part! Unfortunately, we once again had issues with organisation at the end of our second day walking. Our bags had not been collected from the hotel in SaPa, and I am very grateful for our guide Mai for insisting that the bus driver stopped to allow us to collect them. There was also no water provided for our 6 hour journey back to Hanoi after morning/afternoon of walking. Overall, the organisation of the trip was terrible and I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. The stress caused by the poor organisation and lack of communication was a huge issue for what could otherwise have been a lovely experience.
