This tour combines true tales from Salem’s past with some mild ghost stories just for kids age 6+. Our aim is not to scare the heck out of your kids, but to provide a little shiver and bit of mystery for kids who like ghost stories. We are also telling you intriguing historical facts as well. This tour follows a route that is near the downtown, but it’s a little off the beaten path, very picturesque, and you’ll feel as if you stepped back in time. The tour ends at our historic and creepy Broad Street Cemetery, which was established in 1655. Meets at 316 Essex Street.
For over twelve years, parents traveling with kids have chosen Salem Kids Tours for a fun, well-researched and fascinating trip through time. Many times we have heard from kids, “I didn’t want the tour to end.” Parents have described our tours as the highlight of their trip to Salem. We are happy to show you around. We love kids, we understand their unique needs, and we look forward to meeting you on one of our tours.

It was a fun tour with cool facts for the kids and just far enough they enjoyed it. We liked seeing the sights we may not of known to look for.

Cute little tour for a brief history of Salem. Not too scary at all. We took our 5 year old and he didn’t really care too much about any of it (which is typical) but I enjoyed it. Recommend!

I highly recommend taking the Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour if you are visiting Salem with kids. While visiting New England, we had done two other tours that were enjoyable for us but not engaging enough or too long to hold our 8-year-old’s attention. This tour was just the right amount of time and the right amount of detail to keep him engaged the whole time while also being just as enjoyable for us.

Phenomenal tour with fantastic tour guide. She was not only incredibly knowledgable and engaging, but she also took time to make the connection between what took place in Salem in the 1690s to what is happening in modern-day America. As a mother who is trying to educate her children on the importance of pattern recognition and learning from history’s mistakes, I really appreciated it. Thank you!
