We had a fantastic time with our tour guide, Zarshed, during our day in Samarkand! He seriously knows the history of Samarkand, Uzbek and Central Asia in general, which was super informative and educational. Walking through the sites, he pointed out all the cool details we would've completely missed. Instead of just seeing another pretty building, we got the whole story behind it and why each place mattered so much. Additionally, Zarshed was super patient with our questions and actually seemed to enjoy our curiosity. He also shared videos that helped us better visualize the sites. Highly recommend this tour if you're in Samarkand and want to actually understand what you're looking at (while having a great time)!

We had an amazing day with our guide Zarshed! He picked us up on time at our hotel in a private car and drove us around the city to the most important landmarks in Samarkand. He provided important information about the sites we visited and about the history of the city with great detail. He is very knowledgeable and has perfect English, he answered all of our questions. He also made sure all our needs were taken care of, took us to a great place for lunch, had us try typical Samarkand bread which was delicious and took care of us as tourist so prices in local markets and sites were fair. We had an AMAZING experience and would 100% recommend this tour and specifically Zarshed.

The tour was very comprehensive, you will learn a lot about the history, culture, and people of Samarkand. Highly recommend it to those who are coming to the city for only a day or two. You will get to see all the beautiful sites in one go.

Zarshed was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and also was glad Zarshed was able to take some photos for memory keeping, especially since it's hard to do being by myself. I learned so much about Samarkand's fascinating and rich history. An added factor was my trip coincided with a high-level visit, but Zarshed was prepared and adjusted my tour so it wasn't disturbed by closed sites. He also sent me to the best palov restaurant in town- what a treat! Yes, I did pay for each site separately, and I did pay extra as a solo traveler, rather than a group tour. I highly recommend it. We saw hoarders of other tours coming off buses, but I preferred having a tailored tour and less people to wait on. Just be prepared with spending cash ahead of time for the sites and market. Would recommend.
