I have been on many winery tours in Napa but this SB/Santa Ynez Valley tour to celebrate my friend's milestone birthday surpassed my expectations. From start to finish, we had an unforgettable experience engaging local vinters whose passion for wine was obvious in their detailed presentations of their vintages and willingness to answer all questions. It was made even better by getting to know Scott (the owner) who curated our the tour and anticipated all our needs, Including catering to special dietary needs. We also loved hanging out with our small group who we had blast getting to know over the 6 hour tour. I felt we had a little tribe at the end of the day. I highly recommend this tour and will do it again.

My husband and I made a last minute weekend trip to Santa Barbara and luckily there was a cancelation on this tour so we could go! I learned a lot, left with some amazing bottles of wine and learned a lot about the wine making process. Getting to actually meet the wine makers elevated the experience beyond a typical tasting room. Also, the shuttle service was top notch. I have already recommended this tour to all my friends back in LA.

Our guide, Scott was incredibly knowledgeable about wines and expertly guided us through private tastings at 3 exclusive Santa Ynez and Happy Canyon wineries. We met with the wine makers who made our experience even more special and a customized lunch was also provided which we enjoyed outside at one of the wineries. We were a group of 4 and we met another couple on the tour and the 6 of us had an incredible time together!! The wines we tasted at all the wineries were a true expression of this beautiful region…would highly recommend Sustainable Wine Tours for your wine tasting experience in SB wine country!!

Karina reviewed lots of history and geography of the area. The winemakers (Paulo was the best!!) we met were knowledgeable and fun. The wine was excellent, as was the lunch and the setting we were in while we ate.

SWT and our guide Scott was amazing. A perfectly curated tour of small family owned vineyards with estate grown wines produced in an organic and sustainable manner. A personalized and educational day with winemakers who love what they do and spend quality time with you telling their story and how they create their magnificent wines. I have done wine tours all around the world and this ranks up there with the best of the best. Well worth it and highly recommended.

An absolutely perfect day. Wonderful company and an exceptional host. We learned so much from Karina about the region, its climate and the importance “clean” winemaking. This is easily a 10 star adventure that we would definitely repeat. Thank you Karina and team!

An exceptional small group (we were 8) private wine tour. Scott was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We went to three different wineries along the Chumash Hwy, where we enjoyed a private tasting. Stops included 5-6 tastings and at least an hour and a half stop with the wine maker or someone with the knowledge and experience to answer questions. I would highly recommend this tour, as it’s private, off the beaten path. No big signs and parking lots full of cars. A lovely way to spend an afternoon! Lunch was included and you get to enjoy it at a winery.

This was a very special day for the wine lover in me. We had private tastings with three winemakers, each showcasing the best they have to offer and answering all my questions. Our guide, Scott, is a wine expert himself, and only takes people to top-notch wineries. This is a tour for people who know and love wine and want to learn more from the experts. We tasted 6-8 wines at each location and really got to know winemakers who are passionate about what they do. This is worth the extra price as it is head and shoulders above most tours which take you to generic tastings at large wineries. I joined two winemakers clubs because I want to maintain a connection with the awesome people I met.

Incredible experience! Would highly recommend to anybody thinking about booking a wine tour. You can tell a lot of thought goes into selecting the perfect wineries. On top of that there were small details that made a HUGE difference in our day and made it that much more special. Overall this was more about giving my group an amazing personal experience and less about business and sticking to an agenda.
