We work with 25+ wineries so the route varies from day to day. We give you the full wine tasting experience by visiting a mixture of vineyards and small production tasting rooms.

What To Expect

Sit back and enjoy the scenery as we drive into the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Learn about the history of the region, vineyards, geology and what makes the Santa Barbara wine region so unique. Enjoy tastings at 4 boutique, family owned and independently wineries. Lunch is served at the third winery. Our delicious picnic lunch is freshly prepared. Choose between a salad with local produce or a sandwich on freshly baked bread. After a fun filled day, your guide will drop you off at your accommodations. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion or you want to get out and have fun in Santa Barbara wine country, this tour offers the perfect mix of fun and relaxation!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Rooted Vines. We experienced different types of tastings and saw a lot of the Santa Inez Valley. I highly recommend this tour and look forward to doing it in the future!

Yunee was amazing! We had such a good time and it was the perfect day. We visited a tasting room, a vineyard, and a production facility, which gave us a very well-rounded feel of the wine produced in Santa Barbara. Lunch was also very delicious and super fresh, definitely hit the spot. Would definitely recommend!

As novice wine connoisseurs, Rooted Vine Wine Tours offered my friend and I a wonderful insight into the world of wine making and tasting. We had the pleasure of having Iaon as our tour guide, who provided information in a witty manner. Each stop made along the tour allowed us to see different aspects of the wine industry while being able to sample a variety of wines at each stop. Iaon was timely in response to any of our question regarding pickup and coordination of the tour. The drive through the Santa Ynez mountains was safe and relaxed. Overall a wonderful experience! I highly recommended this wine tour- it is money well spent!

Rooted Vine Tours was simply excellent! Yunee was great as our driver and guide. Pickup at our hotel was right on time and the drive into the valley was beautiful. Yunee was very knowledgeable about area and gave us excellent overviews of the three wineries we visited. Her boss needs to give her a raise! We wanted to visit some of the smaller wineries and have the opportunity to talk with some of the wine makers – this tour was spot on! We visited Story of Soil, Brander, and Marbeso tasting rooms and the assortment and variety of wines sampled made for great comparisons! The Pinot Noir at Marbeso was simply stunning and getting to talk with Colin about his wine making journey was a highlight! I ordered several bottles and shipping was easily arranged. Highly recommend this tour if your interested in experiencing some great wines and great people!

We had a wonderful experience with Yumi as our guide. She was so pleasant and knowledgeable! The group we traveled with was so much fun. The wine experience was varied in types of facilities, which was vey interesting and educational! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the places we visited and the picnic lunch was perfect! What an amazing day! Hope to do it again sometime!

Uni was a great guide to 3 different small batch wineries. Very intimate settings, one was at a beautiful location overlooking the vineyards, where we also enjoyed an excellent lunch while learning the history of the vineyard and region! We enjoyed the smaller-batch vineyards and details provided by the winemakers. We would sign up for this again!!

Best day ever. Worth every penny! Yunee was an excellent guide, narrating the scenes of wine country as we drove through the hills of Santa Barbara. It was a great way to get private access to wineries and get to actually speak with and learn from the dedicated wine makers about their craft. Neither of us are too experienced in the world of wine, but we felt like we had the chance to really try so many different new things! Lunch was delicious, views were breathtaking, and the whole experience was perfectly curated. The pick up and drop off directly from our hotel was the icing on top!
