Vlihada port and marina is full with yachts sailing and fishing boats. It is also a Beach. The beach follows a smooth descent. You will notice as you approach two large chimneys. One is directly behind the beach and one nearby, but don’t worry as this factory is no longer in use and the brick structures are actually quite pleasant to look at. This beach of Santorini itself is quite long covered with dark grey sand that one finds all over the island. There are a number of sun loungers here. It is worth having a look at the rock formations behind the beach Locations near Vlychada include the Settlement of Exomytis and the Settlement of Agios Georgios.
Red Beach
This is a wait of ferrous rock approx 125 meters high which has eroded and left red sand. The red beach is arguably one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is located only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri. The small size of the beach creates a much crowded atmosphere and there are many days where most of the visitors choose not to make it all the way down to the beach and instead admire this unique landscape of red and black volcanic rocks from the headland. Many sunbeds and umbrellas cover the dark sand and right on the seashore are some nice pebbles you can use for your collection. Snorkeling is highly recommended due to the interesting rocks. You are on a boat so no limitation for you. We will take you to the best photographic location so that you can capture the majesty from the best possible vantage point.

We had an amazing private catamaran cruise with Jannes and Karim in Santorini! We went with our 2.5-year-old daughter, and they were incredibly accommodating. They even watched her so my husband and I could enjoy snorkeling worry-free. The experience was relaxing, fun, and absolutely unforgettable. A must-do—highly recommend!

Great catamaran tour overall, and the crew was excellent as well. We got to see various parts of Santorini that could be better appreciated from the water, though we would have enjoyed more time sailing in the caldera. The lunch prepared on board was very good as well. Hotel pick-up and drop-off were smooth as well. Some communication from the company was a bit harsh - such as, tour cancellation if you are 10 min late for the pick-up and the requirement to bring passports, although no one every asked for them. It was not a problem for us as we are usually on time, but the messaging could have been a bit softer and friendler.

Relaxing way to tour the waters. Saw sone sites while stopping to swim in one area. Food they served was very good (and they accommodated my son’s food allergies- I reached out to them in advance to notify them). Overall great excursion.

Amazing experience! By far the highlight of our trip! Captain went slow and ride was so relaxing I actually fell asleep on the way back to the port. Comfortable seats/cushions are on the front. The assistant was very attentive, kept our drinks full the whole day. Food was absolutely delicious and was a feast! Assistant also was an excellent photographer and took pictures of us throughout the day.

Our catamaran cruise was phenomenal!! Tzannes and Karem were the most gracious hosts, ensuring that we had an absolutely amazing experience. We reclined on the front of the boat to see beautiful beaches, caves, and other interesting parts of the landscape. Then we stopped in an area to snorkel, which was a cool experience!! We were served a delicious meal with so many choices of food!!! Tzannes explained the history of Santorini, using maps and stories. We then sailed to watch a most beautiful sunset before returning to the dock. I highly recommend this cruise!! Tzannes and Karem will ensure that you have a superb experience!!!

This was a port of call on our cruise and since 3 other ships were there that day, we tried to do something different. The excursion was absolutely wonderful. We saw Santorini from an angle that most people probably don't--from the sea--and it was amazing. Though the water was chilly we enjoyed jumping off the catamaran and snorkeling around. Kareem kept the drinks coming though we tried to drink mostly water since it was so hot out. The lunch he prepared was delicious. Captain Tzanes was very knowledgeable, as he grew up on Santorini. Thoroughly enjoyed our five hour catamaran. Note we did not sail (we motored) as we needed to cover a lot of territory. I do wish there was a boat transfer from the marina back to where the ship tenders picked us up. We had to get to the top (Fira) just to go to sea level again (marina), and then the reverse to get back to our ship. I see a business opportunity! :-)
