The events held every year during the week of December 7-17, the anniversary of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi's death, illuminate the spiritual world of thousands of guests from all over the world. The program begins with a recitation from the Quran, after a short mesnevi discussion it continues with and a Turkish Sufi music concert. Finally, a Mevlevi ceremony of whirling derwishes is performed. Total event duration is 2 hours.

5.00This Sufi Sema Ceremony was educational as well as visually and auditory enriching experience. The venu was excellent. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the explanations shown on the screen easier to understand. I speak both Turkish and English and had difficulty understanding some of the explanations in both languages.
Very educational. Good visibility. Recommended.

5.00Excellent evening. I had already seen that of the Ministry of Tourism a few years ago, which was much less educational. The screens that explain each step of the sema, each greeting, all the differences (minimal for us) allow us to better understand the ceremony. You have to speak English.

5.00Beautiful ceremony with English subtitles that really helped us understand what we were seeing. I suggest visiting the museum first then seeing this ceremony afterward. There is a small dervish clothing museum upstairs from the ceremony that was interesting to check out.

5.00An awesome experience to be enthralled by the orchestra, the singers and of course the company of dancers who whirl in their trance like state for an hour long performance. The entry cost (250 Lire) was so cheap and I think we got a better overall outcome than the 20. Euro private viewings available
