This transfer service does not include any entrance tickets. Don’t worry—we can arrange the purchase of tickets on your travel day for your convenience.

What To Expect

We offer two service packages for your Great Wall tour: Package 1 is pure round-trip transfer service, and Package 2 includes round-trip transfer plus a friendly private guide. You can choose to visit either the Badaling or Juyongguan section of the Great Wall, and we will arrange the corresponding itinerary accordingly. Badaling Great Wall is the most representative and magnificent section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Authentically reconstructed, it retains the original grandeur without appearing overly new, making it an ideal introductory spot. Juyongguan Great Wall is the closest section to downtown Beijing, connected to Badaling. Built against rugged terrain, it was a solid military barrier, featuring ancient towers and temples; its western stairs are steep while the eastern side is gentler, suitable for various physical fitness levels. You will meet your driver in the hotel lobby at a prearranged time, then board a private air-conditioned vehicle for a comfortable 1 to 1.5-hour drive to your chosen Great Wall section, enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery along the way. Upon arrival, the driver will guide you to the ticket purchase area. You will have 2 to 2.5 hours of hiking time. After the tour, the driver will take you back to your downtown Beijing hotel. The total duration of this service is 5 to 6 hours. If you choose Package 2 (transfer + guide), the friendly private guide will hike with you, share historical stories along the way, and help take photos for you and your family. Entrance tickets are not included in the service, but we can assist with on-the-day ticket booking. Jason is an amazing person. He drove us to the Mutianyu Great Wall section and it was the best choice of our lives. Initially we were supposed to go to the Badaling section but he warned us that it would be crowded. It was the best thing as we arrived around 15:30 PM and the wall was empty. We took the cable car to go up and we took the sliding to go down! Amazing experience. I strongly recommend Jason!! Very friendly and drives very smooth! One of our best days in our lives! Thank you!!!

We visited the Great Wall in the morning. Our tour guide Lucy really went out her way to ensure that we have a great experience on the day. We were very grateful for that. We owe our wonderful experience at the Great Wall of China to her professional suggestion to make a last minute change to visit the Mutianyu section instead of Badaling since upon her checking earlier that morning Badaling was already well sold out. Had we not changed course we would have found ourselves stranded in a terribly crowded situation which would have significantly diminished our appreciation and enjoyment of the tour. Lucy always gives our preferences priority - in a quiet and pleasant way. For example we did not prefer cable car or chairlift so she walked all the way up the steps with us (and wouldn’t mind stopping so many times to wait for us patiently and let us catch our breath – we were horribly slow!). Elsewhere Lucy offered kind advice when we wanted to visit other places ourselves in the afteroon. We also had a good chat with her about modern day China - Beijing, Hutongs etc. We learned a lot from her. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have no hesitation in recommending Lucy to any one interested in visiting Beijing.
