What To Expect
You will meet your driver in the hotel lobby at a prearrange time. Then, board your private, air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy your comfortable road journey to The Great Wall. You will see the beautiful countryside on the way.Drive 1-1.10 hour to get there. There are different sections of the Wall.You should choose one section of the wall(Badaling or Juyongguan) to visit.Your driver will show you where to purchase your tickets, and you will have 2-2.5 hours hiking time, afterwards, returning back your hotel.Of course, you can add-on a friendly guide service upon booking, if you need someone to hike the Great Wall with you and tell you the histories along the way. You can choose either Badaling or Juyongguan Section of the Great Wall, please note the service is valid for 5-6 hours. If you wish to have a friendly private guide to show you the way and even take photos for you and your family, you also can book a guide and transfer service option upon booking.There is no factory and shopping stops during the tour. Badaling Section of the Great Wall is the most representative and magnificent section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty.Although popular, Badaling is a good introduction to the Great Wall. Authentically reconstructed, Badaling shows the Great Wall as it would have looked originally, and it does not look too new. The entrance to Badaling Great Wall that you will see close to the bus stop is for the cable car that can take you up about 2/3 of the way to the peak. Juyongguan section of the Great Wall is the nearest section of the Great Wall to Beijing - a little nearer than BaDaLing that it connects to. Built in accordance with the difficult terrain, Juyongguan Pass of Great Wall was a solid barrier protecting the old city of Beijing.There are many old buildings, like towers and temples, can be seen there.Stairs on the western part are quite steep while the other side is gentler, suitable for people who are energetic and those who are weak in sports. The Tour operator cannot guarantee an English-speaking driver. Due to their availability, you may have a Chinese speaking driver, but they know exactly where to pick you up and where to drop you off. Guest can use their phone to call our translator if need during the ride(if you choose to use the transfer service only)

5.00Jason is an amazing person. He drove us to the Mutianyu Great Wall section and it was the best choice of our lives. Initially we were supposed to go to the Badaling section but he warned us that it would be crowded. It was the best thing as we arrived around 15:30 PM and the wall was empty. We took the cable car to go up and we took the sliding to go down! Amazing experience. I strongly recommend Jason!! Very friendly and drives very smooth! One of our best days in our lives! Thank you!!!

5.00We visited the Great Wall in the morning. Our tour guide Lucy really went out her way to ensure that we have a great experience on the day. We were very grateful for that. We owe our wonderful experience at the Great Wall of China to her professional suggestion to make a last minute change to visit the Mutianyu section instead of Badaling since upon her checking earlier that morning Badaling was already well sold out. Had we not changed course we would have found ourselves stranded in a terribly crowded situation which would have significantly diminished our appreciation and enjoyment of the tour. Lucy always gives our preferences priority - in a quiet and pleasant way. For example we did not prefer cable car or chairlift so she walked all the way up the steps with us (and wouldn’t mind stopping so many times to wait for us patiently and let us catch our breath – we were horribly slow!). Elsewhere Lucy offered kind advice when we wanted to visit other places ourselves in the afteroon. We also had a good chat with her about modern day China - Beijing, Hutongs etc. We learned a lot from her. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and have no hesitation in recommending Lucy to any one interested in visiting Beijing.
