Such a fun tour. I would highly recommend. You get to see parts of Siem Reap that you might not otherwise get to and the food is varied and tasty. Great tour guide.

Great Vespa Foodie Tour. We went all over town and ate interesting food that we would never eat. Our drivers were really safety conscious. When we stopped at street market they even helped us with our purchases.

Rum was a fantastic tour guide. Food was amazing and very filling. Definitely need to do this in an empty stomach because there’s a lot of food to eat. You will not be hungry after this your is over. Highly recommend if you’re interested in Khmer cuisine

This is terrible value for money. I have no idea where the money goes. It is marketed as a food tour but it is a city tour with some food stops. Having spent a week in Siem reap I signed up for this tour because I was interested in learning about street food. I had heard Khmer cuisine is the best food in south east Asia and after over one week in the country and a lot of Amok I felt like I still hadn’t really seen why it has this reputation compared with Vietnam, Thailand or Laos - especially following this tour. The guide was good so I’m sure the company’s main tours of bicycle tours around Angkor wat are good. But this tour is very expensive and not good value for money at all. It included trying 5 things including 2 noodle dishes all dishes were shared with the guide. Most of the food is quite bland - although the insects were well seasoned - but with the other food the noodle street food next to my hotel was considerably more flavourful! Being on the vespa didn’t add anything compared with the Tuktuk tour that follows the exact same route so we saw the Tuktuk tour at every stop and that tour is considerably cheaper and probably safer too, You have to sign a waiver and give next of kin details to do the tour (never done this for a food tour before?). It is good that the tour gets outside of the centre of Siem Reap. The tourist market and bar were fine but not why I signed up to the tour and not sure why they are on the route of a food tour? The market does not sell food. Also I felt uncomfortable going to the touristy bar on pub street with the guide who then drove me home on the Vespa after they had their beer. The guide was nice - without Tinan this would be a lower star rating - he shared lots of information about Khmer traditions and culture which was very interesting and the best part of the tour. He was limited by the set route and when I asked about other foods to try he said they were not available at the locations on the route. If I had paid $15-20 I’d probably have been more happy as this is how much other food tours are in Vietnam and Thailand but even then you try more than 5 dishes. At the price paid I couldn’t recommend. The guide talks you through each dish but you can usually get this information from just asking at the restaurant or stall - even in the less touristy areas in Siem reap you can get by on google translate or finding someone who speaks enough English to get info on what the herbs are or the basic ingredients of the food - on the street food stalls you can usually see your food being made to order - so the tour adds no value especially for the price paid. I had much better food when I asked my Tuktuk driver to stop at a street food stall during one of my temple tours. The street food in the Angkor area was great - especially on the way to bantreay srei where you pass through local towns and lots of fresh street food with very good flavours! Some of the best chicken I have ever had - so if you’re interested in the food in Cambodia maybe save yourself the money from this tour and just ask your hotel and/or Tuktuk driver to recommend some places instead.
