What To Expect

Embark on a culinary adventure that begins with a tuk-tuk pick-up at 17:30 from your accommodation. Start your first food tasting at Lort Cha's house, where you can savor the Cambodian Stir-fried Rice Pin Noodle. Discover the delicious stir-fry techniques and learn the simple steps to recreate this dish. Before continuing your gastronomic exploration, visit the local marketplace well known as Made Cambodia Market. Browse through the stalls selling handcrafted items, such as jewelry and silk scarves. All products are made by the local people in Cambodia. Then, indulge in the renowned Num Banh-Chok or Cambodian rice noodle with green curry soup, a true taste of authentic Cambodian cuisine. Next, venture to the popular local night market in Siem Reap. Delight your taste buds with an array of sweet desserts, savory skewered meats, and even some adventurous options like fried crickets, fried frog, grasshoppers, and water beetles. These delicacies may surprise you with their delectable flavors. Complete your culinary journey by enjoying a refreshing local beer at a local bar. You are supposed to be back to your hotel by 21:00.

Sarath was a breath of fresh air. I was the only person on the tour, but she made me feel comfortable. She’s very easy to talk…I learned about the food and her life in Cambodia. All the food was delicious, so be sure to come hungry. I’d definitely do this tour again.

Wonderful experience. We loved the food and got some insights in cambodian daily life. Sarath was friendly and competent. You should try everything, especially the insects :-) They fit perfect to a cambodian beer.

With a little trepidation, my wife and I ventured out in Siem Reap to try the local food and bar scene. We met Seila, in the hotel lobby and his English was outstanding. We hopped into the Tuk-Tuk and off we went. We gave Seila so guidance beforehand that we wanted to avoid ice and freshly washed vegetables and he was extremely accommodating. We tried various local dishes at three different restaurants, did a little shopping, stopped in the night market for fries crickets, frogs, silkworms etc. it wasn’t as bad as it sounds. Finished the night with some dessert and a stop on Pub Street. Highly recommend!!!!!! Thanks again Seila.

It was an amazing experience, not only for the food (everything was amazing), but for Sarath. Our tour guide was excellent, she was explaining us everything about culture, food and Cambodia in general. Totally recomended.

Our guide Hong provided us with an excellent food experience. From an explanation of the ingredients, cooking history and general conversation to tasting wonderful local foods, Hong made the night. She is very passionate, exuberant and enthusiastic and made the night. Highly recommended.
