From Australia: Han Ron or “Han Solo” was our tour guide and was a truly a delightful man. So knowledgeable and amazingly well spoken, his English was great. I truly believed I learnt a lot visiting the DMZ, standing on the roof of the Look Out was an incredibly sombering moment that I believe I could only truly appreciate the gravity of thanks to Han’s depth of knowledge and willingness to answer any question, no matter how difficult or obscure, he had numbers and stats I was able to double check and his accuracy was phenomenal. Visiting the Peace Village, we got to see the Rusty Locomotive, a large wrought iron train with scars from the Korean War, seeing the damage was polarising. Chunks torn and bullet holes scattered about, seeing it up close was an eye-opening experience of how violent Korea was during the 1950s. If you are from Australia and you have the notion of the north as a whacky and wild place with silly rules with fantastical propaganda, this is an experience that will leave you with a heavy heart and an appreciation for the atrocities the south has endured. If you are curious, please ask for Han and experience the tension in the air along the DMZ, the bizarre comfort the people working there have, and remember, if you are going into Tunnel 3, be prepared for a hard walk back.

The DMZ tour proved to be a wonderful experience while traveling South Korea. We would never have had as amazing of a time if not for our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Han Solo! He clearly illustrated the vivid history that is the DMZ. Hopefully one day, there won’t be a need for a DMZ, and there will be, as we sing every Christmas season, “peace on earth; good will to men.”

Our tour to DMZ was great! Han was very knowledgeable and easy to understand like where just having fun on a field trip. All of our questions during our trip been answered and even gave us trivia sometimes. It’s just one minor issue. There are other group of people had to ride with our bus after the first stop and took our seats and I have to seat away with my family. But it was worked out. But overall the tour was great with Han handling us. Thank you and definitely will recommend to others.

The tour guide, Ron Han, is very knowledgeable and provides a lot of information. He was also very helpful and polite. While keeping to the time, he didn’t make us feel rushed. The whole experience is very pleasant. Timing of the tour is just nice as well, not too long or draggy. Very good experience.
