Walking in the steps of the brave men of the Midway. Honoring their memory. My husband’s relative served on a ship in WW1. It was incredible to see the way he lived on ship working in the lower deck.

The insights into the challenges of taking off and landing on a carrier was so interesting. Also seeing the “behind the scenes” of how this floating town operated. Had not planned to spend the whole afternoon touring the ship but no regrets that we did. Totally worth a visit. Being able to skip the line was a great convenience and started us off on the right foot.

Be prepared to spend at least 3hrs here because it’s a really spacious museum - so many helis and jets to see on the upper deck. Also as a tip, visit early and head straight to the line for the guided tour of the Island (for air control + sea nav) because the line can get much longer later in the day.
