We welcome you to discover the real flavors, colors, and rhythm of Panama City on our street-food tasting adventure that goes far beyond restaurants.
This is not a sit-down meal—it’s a walking experience through the city’s most authentic neighborhoods, where you’ll taste, learn, and connect with the people behind Panama’s local cuisine.
Start at the Seafood Market with three types of ceviche, then explore San Felipe Neri Market to sample Afro-Caribbean dishes, tropical juices, Geisha coffee, and hot sauces.
Continue along Avenida Central for tamales and a visit to a local bakery. In El Chorrillo, enjoy coconut fish, BBQ chicken, smoked chorizo, and escabeche fish, served in tasting portions.
Optional rum cocktail or juice included. This is a tasting tour, not a full meal.

San Felipe Neri Market will connect us with the best natural juices in the city. We’ll also get to taste one of the best fish fillets in the area.

5.00We have done food tours all over the world and this was among the best! What made it unique was the absolute passion Elena and Jonathan show for their country and their food. We visited places we would never have found on our own and learned so much about the local culture from people who live and eat there. The food was delicious!

5.00This tour is run by people who are from the places you will visit and their pride shines through. Normally you get one guide on these types of tours, on ours there were 4 people making sure everything went smoothly. We got to meet the owners/cooks at the neighborhood eateries and food stalls we visited and everyone was friendly and accommodating. You visit the part of Panama City most info tells you to avoid, but with our crew of guides we couldn't have felt safer or gotten more stuffed with great food. We'll go again for sure!

5.00This was the most special food tour I've ever done anywhere in the world. There is so much depth to this tour from meeting the local vendors to learning about different ingredients that exist in Panama (from the lemons which are actually lemons to the fish to the tree tomatoes). It's unbelievable how many tastings you get from the markets to street vendors to local restaurants to a delicious bakery. And the end where you learn about the experience of one of the guides growing up in the neighborhood and how gentrification is affecting the community is the cherry on top of this incredible tour. What's more, this is a family run business and it's beautiful to see the love and appreciation they have for each other. This is a must.

5.00If you don’t do anything else in Panama, definitely do this!!! We tried over 25 things including fish, chicken, potato salad, plantains, juices, coffee, honey, hot sauce, and the list goes on! Elena and Jonathan really know their stuff! They describe the history, flavors, cultural significance and meaning behind everything we ate, saw or heard. Walking through the different neighborhoods we felt very safe. You can tell that Jonathan and Elena know everyone and are well respected. Wear comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking, and com prepared to eat! Everyone in our group was so full by the end of the day. Honestly, they could’ve charged even more for this. From start to finish the tour was about 4 hours.

5.00This was our favorite tour during our 4 days in Panama City! Paradox Experience was organized, engaging and relatable during the Street Food Tour. Everything from logistics to communication to ensuring our safe departure made for a memorable experience during our stay. They clearly have their act together and care deeply about sharing their heritage and community with us. We truly enjoyed seeing the real Panama through their eyes and our stomachs. Everything we sampled was delicious! Highly recommended!
