Feel the thrill of skydiving without jumping out of an airplane. It's true! Head to iFLY Tampa, a premier indoor skydiving facility powered by a state-of-the-art vertical wind tunnel. After a training session, you'll experience free-fall conditions with the help of an instructor. No experience is necessary, and afterward, you can take home a personalized flight certificate.

If you have previous neck, back, heart, injuries or shoulder dislocations, are pregnant or wearing a hard cast - you will not be able to fly.

In order to provide a safe experience for its customers and instructors, iFLY may not be able to accommodate flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs and will not be able to accommodate flyers whose weight exceeds 300 lbs. Upon check in for flight reservations, additional evaluation by local staff will be required to determine if flyers between 260-300 lbs can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply.

Minimum age is 3 years

Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver

It is recommended that you wear well-fitting, lace-up sneakers or running shoes and comfortable clothes

If you need to reschedule after your reservation is made please call the location directly. Modifications to reservation dates and times cannot be done any other way.

What To Expect

Arrive at iFLY Tampa, and get started by putting on your gear and going through a specialized training session from an expert flight instructor. You’ll learn how to safely float in an 800-horsepower vertical wind tunnel that generates a wall-to-wall cushion of air - commonly used by professional skydivers - without having to jump from a plane. Just about anyone can fly, and no experience is necessary. Once you're inside the enclosed space of the flight chamber, a tunnel operator slowly increases the wind speed until you and your instructor are airborne. Feel the adrenaline rush as you float at wind speeds reaching 130 to 175 mph (209 to 282 kph). The stable wall-to-wall airflow keeps you from falling off the column of air, and your instructor is on hand at all times to guide you. The entire indoor skydiving experience takes about 75 minutes from start to finish. Each session includes up to six people, but you fly one-on-one with your instructor for 60 seconds in the wind tunnel twice.

I visited iFLY Tampa and it was an amazing experience: the staff was very friendly, the facilities were clean and safe, and flying in the wind tunnel was exciting and fun. Perfect for beginners and families looking for something different and full of adrenaline.

Wow!! What a memory!! Staff was courteous and friendly; instructor was amazing. Enjoyed every second of this and would absolutely recommend this to anyone!! I was traveling with a 10 year old and he loved it too!

Amanda was an amazing instructor - she took her time with us and she was very personable. She cared about the reasons we were there. And she made sure to go over everything until we felt comfortable. She was right there with us the whole way, and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. I was a little bit nervous, but I really enjoyed it. I'm 61 years old, normally sedentary, and I was able to get in and do everything without any problem. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who's considering it!

Factor in some waiting time if you become part of a bigger group once you get there. I chose to only take one of my two turns because I would’ve had to wait for nine other people to go before I could go again. I did not like being in their little room all suited up for too long.

I purchased the intro package with 2 flights for me and my family. I had filled out the waivers electronically the day before. When we arrived, they were not able to find the waivers and there was some kind of technical problem. We missed our original flight time, and we were all very upset. But the management and the team were able to do some digging and problem solve the issues. They quickly did some rearranging and got us into the soonest session available. One of my family members were extremely upset with the ordeal and lost their passion for doing the flight. Although I was unable to get a refund for that person's fly time, management did divide that time between the rest of us giving us a longer fly time in the chamber. The team and management were all so friendly and positive and quickly thought of solutions. They were very pleasant. The experience was amazing! I definitely recommend purchasing the high flight. It really enhances the experiences. All in all, the staff and management were very professional and accommodating. The instructors were extremely experienced, and we all felt very safe the entire time.

I am 64 and my husband is 73 and we loved it. The employees there were very nice and accommodating. They took there time with us, they didn't rush you through. They made sure you understood directions and helped you get it right. It was such fun and we intend on returning next time we are in the area.
