Good morning ! My name is Frédéric Bourgoin. I define myself as a terroirist winemaker and alchemist on the run. My 25 ha vineyard in “Organic Agriculture” conversion is located near Angoulême (Charente, France). The Bourgoin family wine adventure began in 1930 but bottled marketing is much more contemporary: 11/21/2015. Today my bottles are present on more than 150 Michelin-starred restaurants in France (and at the Elysée!). My natural cognacs are: unassembled, unsweetened, without added colorings, and unfiltered. Both young and authentic, my winemaking approach to the cognac category is unique in Charente. Come meet me, the truth is at the bottom of the bottle! 4 people minimum for any reservation.

Between authenticity and modernity, guided by a member of the family, this activity allows you to discover the history, know-how and secrets of the Bourgoin family to the rhythm of a modern and refined scenography. You will have the opportunity to pass through our authentic aging cellar still in operation, our distillery where the history of cognac will be explained to you. The wine-growing approach, the wine map as well as soil and geology will complete the technical explanations concerning the details of our products. The highlight of this journey is the tasting which allows you to grasp the nuances: - Grape Brandy 2018, 38%vol. - Cognac Double-Lie 2010, 45%vol. - Cognac Brut de Fût 1998, 53%vol. - Pineau des Charentes White, 17%vol. - Verjuice, pH 2.5 - Grape Sugar, 65 brix - Grapeseed oil

Rebecca shared the enthusiasm her family has for producing unique products and experiences. The family is committed to honor the past while exploring products that are outside the box. We learned about the process, the soil, and the history. We were able to taste all of their products as each was explained with passion. To our delight a few nights later we found two of the items were available at our hotel bar. The experience is worth the lovely drive to the small village of Tarsac.
