The old town of Toledo was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage City since 1986. On our tour, we will walk along streets and squares full of history, demonstrating the sheer wealth and splendor of the old capital of Spain, the city commonly known as “the City of Three Cultures "
Jewish Quarter of Toledo
The oldest written documents that we have from Jews in Toledo are from the fourth century, in the Roman era, although it is possible that they established themselves in the city before then. On our tour, we will walk through the narrow streets of the old Jewish quarter, visiting the main monuments and underground archaeological remains that made this Jewish quarter one of the most important in Europe.

5.00Javi was a wonderful and engaging guide. He tailor made the day for the two of us. He made sure we could see everything even though we had some mobility issues. The tour was informative but never boring. He explained the significance of the many cultures that make up Toledo’s history. It was one of the best tours I’ve been on in Europe.

5.00We had a great experience! Our family, 2 adults and 3 teenagers, took a train in from Madrid. Javier, our guide, recommended that we stop at a look out point to see the entire City before entering the City. That was a great start. Once we got into Toledo, Javier was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. He was patient and answered our many questions. He also took care of the entrance tickets so we did not have to worry about that before our arrival. We highly recommend this tour!

Not only was she very personable , but she was also very knowledgeable about the history of Toledo and the various cultures that have inhabited the city through the centuries. As an American, it is a bit difficult to conceive of a history that dates back so far! She brought the history to life for me. A lovely tour. Thank you, Sonia.
