Discover the secrets of truffle hunting among the enchanting hills of San Gimignano, one of the most fascinating gems of Tuscany. This exclusive experience will allow you to immerse yourself in the typical Tuscan landscape, accompanied by me, an expert truffle hunter for 3 generations, and my faithful dogs.
During the excursion, you will learn the ancient truffle hunting techniques passed down by my family, and you will learn more about this rare and precious ingredient, typical of Tuscan cuisine.
You will walk with me and my dogs in the woods, and this is the most fascinating part of the route, where you can see my dogs in action! While we will only perceive the scent of the woods, my dogs will be able to sniff the hidden aroma of truffles, and give us this precious ingredient that you will be able to savor in the most authentic way.
At the end of the Tour you will receive very fresh truffles, including those just found, and instructions on how to preserve and cook them.

What To Expect
Discover the charm of Tuscany through a unique truffle hunting adventure. Immersed in the picturesque and uncontaminated woods, you will be guided by me and my dogs, in the search for this precious culinary treasure. During the hunt, you will learn the secrets of the local tradition, discovering how and where truffles grow, as well as how dogs are trained to find them. The walk in the woods will not only allow you to get in touch with nature, but also to experience the emotion of searching for one of the most sought-after gastronomic products in the world. At the end of the hunt, each participant will receive fresh truffles to taste. You will be able to take these precious treasures home and use them as you like, adding a touch of Tuscany to your kitchen. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn how to best preserve and use truffles, thus prolonging the gourmet experience. This experience will leave you with an unforgettable memory of the most authentic Tuscany, made of centuries-old traditions, uncontaminated nature and a warm welcome.

5.00Had a wonderful time! Domenico was an excellent guide, but Dita and Cuba(coo-ba) were the stars sniffing out all the truffles. My wife (5.5 months pregnant) had no problems walking the forest and watching the team gather truffles.

5.00This was such a trip highlight! We went with our two daughters (5 and 6 years old) and they adored the dogs alone! Watching the dogs search and find truffles was a fascinating experience and learning about the growing process, how the dogs are trained, and seeing it all happen so naturally was all wonderful! Our guide was a third generation truffle hunter, and so proud of his work! He gave us such an authentic experience and it will be one we all remember forever!

5.00Domenica was great. His gorgeous truffle hunter kept our small group entertained and was very enthusiastic in hunting out truffles. Domenica explained the various types of truffles and the seasonal changes required for the growing of each type. We spent 90 minutes in a small area and, although not the season for quality truffles, our little furry hunter was able to sniff and dig out a few for us to look at. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

5.00What a perfect experience this was. We met this guy and his dog, third generation truffle hunters. I think we kinda knew what we would do, search a forest and let the dog go to work. This was so much more, the guy is just a very kind and wonderful person, so much fun to be around, loves what he does, that dog loves him so much. It was truly a blessing to get to spend time with them. Oh and we found some truffles that we tried later that evening. Wonderful experience.

5.00Best experience in San Gimignano. A great escape from the tourist hordes in town. Domenic, a 3rd generation truffle hunter leads you to his forest just outside town. We had a blast following his two high energy dogs. Tita the new pup was extra fun. She not only finds them but brings them back to you.
